Hi, I just downloaded MB to use with my SanDisk mp3 player. I have it up and running, with all my music files and podcasts ready to go. But I can't figure out how to start syncing with my mp3 device. I have found references to a "portable" device function -- maybe a menu item? But I can't find it in any of the menus. Or is it supposed to show up in the Navigation Tools window? Maybe under "Computer"? I note it is nowhere to be found on the "Anatomy of MusicBee" wiki page (http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/The_Anatomy_of_MusicBee), although "syncing to a device" is mysteriously mentioned. There doesn't appear to be any other help for this. ???

The Devices node only shows up if your device is connected.  If Windows has assigned it a drive letter, you may need to go into the Computer node and tell MB to treat it as a device (right click menu command).

Thanks, psychoadept, that was very useful. Using that information, I learned that you have to change the USB settings on the Sansa player for it to be recognized as a drive. For future reference, you disconnect the device, then go into Settings > System Settings > USB Mode and set it to MSC (Mass Storage Class). Then reconnect the device, and Windows should give it a drive letter.

Great, glad that helped.  Btw, the Navigation panel is explained in more detail here: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Navigation_Panel#Navigation_Panel
