Hi Steven,

As touched on in another thread, I would like to formally request that “ - “ be recognised as a splitter when Cut/paste Performer: role/instrument details in text mode. This would be in [space]-[space] format to avoid Issues with artists that are already use it.

Is it also be possible for the Musician Credits tag (TMCL) to become edible in the Tag inspector instead of read only? I understand that the Artist splitter “creates/builds” this tag, but it would be nice to have a little more flexibility with it outside of the splitter.

Appreciate your ongoing efforts Steve!!

I don't see this request being implemented.
It's generally better to have fewer delimiters rather than many.

My easiest suggestion would be that if you're copy/pasting performers into MusicBee from a source that doesn't use a colon as a delimiter, you should paste them first into Notepad or Notepad++ and use the "Find and Replace" function to change whatever delimiter is applicable to a colon. A more complex solution would be to use a metadata file tagging software like mp3tag and apply a rule or Action that would convert the delimiter upon running.

Thanks for the tips boom boom.

I’ll experiment with the mp3tag actions.
