Hi all,
I'm fighting with this strange issue, any suggestions are welcome.
- MusicBee 2.4.5349 running on W8.1 with latest updates
- WASAPI output (I also have the same issue when using ASIO)
- DAC is a DacMagic Plus connected to USB (USB Audio 2.0 Cambridge driver 1.67)

Problem description:
When playing a FLAC file 24 bits 96 kHz (as expected and reported by MB) without resampling, DAC reports a 44.1 kHz audio stream.
Issue is the same when playing 192kHz files with MB.
If I check resample to 96K in MB player settings, DAC reports fine this time a 96kHz stream (same when resampling to 192 kHz, DAC reports 192kHz)
So it looks like MB is downsampling to 44.1 kHz unless I set it to resample to higher value.
(An interesting option would be to resample only when source file is sampled at a lower value)

I have checked my config using Foobar2000 (Output WASAPI (event)): I don't have this issue with 96kHz or 192 kHz Flac files. (But MB is far better IMO ;-)

Any idea or investigation directions are welcome, thanks in advance !

you probably have cross-fading enabled which requires a consistent sample rate
