Definitely a +1 from me. This would be a huge improvement.
I wouldn't want it to be restricted to a tab though, I don't use tabs. I'd rather have this screen displayed in the device node.

PS: I love that song.  ;)

Yep, in the device node.  Whether that happens to be in the main panel or in an additional panel opened in a tab.
"in tab" was to make it clear it wasn't in "Preferences"
