I need to run MusicBee as an administrator on Win8.1 in order to use the remote plugins, but when I do, I notice I lose the "drag-and-drop" functionality for adding files in the program. However, when running it without run as administrator on, I do not have this issue. Is there a way to fix this and have any of you had this problem?

Try a portable version to see if that has something to do with permission issue to some special folders.

Installed portable on a flash drive, right click ->run as administrator and am still getting the same issue. If I run the portable program without, I have no problems with drag-and-drop importing.

With UAC enabled in Windows, drag-n-drop is not supported with any programs when running as administrator by design:

Can you use the remote plugin with portable version without having to run as administrator?

Thank you for the quick replies!  :) Unfortunately, I have to run the plugin as an administrator, but at least the link you provided allows for me to change windows settings to get the same effect.
