Whatever I do, I cannot group albums properly I get multiple albums in Main panel - what am I doing wrong? See this example of an album

This is just one example, but my whole 55gb collection seems to show massive duplication for album or many 1 track albums, despite being neatly arranged in artist folders and nested albums folders, some OGGs, Some MP3.  Tags are mostly good, but this shouldn't matter if I've used 'files for each album are organised in their own folder'

In short I simply want to browse and play my albums. As a luxury I'd like to sort by date added.

Help!

use Sort/Album-Artist instead of sort-artist where the album artist tag value is the same for all tracks in the album

I'm a bit new to MusicBee. It's a wonderful program, but I was having the same issue as the OP. Unfortunately, the above explanation darned near made my head explode :D Like I said I'm new, so it's probably one of those it's-not-you-it's-me scenarios. So do you think you could explain it in such a way that a noob like me can understand? I'm not a total tech idiot but that one just went way over my head. Thanks  ;)

edit: I noticed some missing Album Artist tags and fixed them in MP3Tag. That took care of it but I'm still not clear on how to use Sort/Album-Artist instead of sort-artist where the album artist tag value is the same for all tracks in the album

Are you using artwork view as well?  This page may help: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Artwork_View

You might also find this page helpful: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Using_Sort_Order

Otherwise, you might need to clarify your question, because I'm not sure exactly what you're asking about.

I'm using album & tracks view. I thought maybe the original poster was having issues similar to mine and then I read Steven's post:

It kinda fried an already tired brain but once I realized that I had more folders NOT tagged with Album Artist it all made sense to me (and probably only me since I didn't explain it very well) Thanks for the links!
