History node - configure?

I don't usually have the History node displayed, but I just noticed that it records a link to soundcloud/jamendo tracks.
A 'recently played' auto-playlist will only display local files, so the History has useful information in it.

However, I don't like that it goes back for years.
Is there a way to configure the history node so it limits the time-span to six months (or a certain number of records)?

There is also a load of tracks listed at the bottom with an 'unknown' played date.
Is there any way to clean that up, or will they be listed there for good?

Is there a way to reset it completely?
