Show Lyrics in Floating Window?

If I choose "Show Lyrics in Floating Window" in the Now Playing Layout Configuration a seperate Lyric Window opens but it tells me "No Track Playing" althought there is a track playing. How does the feature "Show Lyrics in Floating Window" work?

What happens if you close down the panel to return it to its original place?

It should work just as the same as when it's on the side bar. Report back if that behaves differently. To float the lyrics panel, double-click on the panel head.

you probably have the Now Playing panel set to "Selected Tracks" rather than "Playing Track".
Although the lyrics window is not actually changing when the selected track changes

i have changed the floating lyrics to only show the current playing track (as was originally intended)
