hello,
is it possible to have 2 music players? for example to start a jingle on the current music without having to stop and then restart at the same place we had stopped...

It's not very clear what you are saying. Are you asking for the ability to open multiple instances of MusicBee at the same time? Can you please elaborate on why would this be useful?

I think OP is looking for the ability to pause one song, play another, then return to the same spot in the first song.

in the same instance, play two songs at the same time

So you're looking for something that does what DJ software does?

If this is viable I would find a lot of use in it. +1

not as a dj software because I do not require synchronization or effects, just to play music at the same time as another and control their volume independently

I would not use the DJ functionality of this request, but I would applaud it if this would result in making it easier to use MusicBee to compare the sound quality of two different rips/downloads of the same song. (A-B comparison)

That would then also require the option to link the playing progress of songs A and B, and the option to switch immediately between sound output of either A or B.
So:

+1

If it's technically possible to do this as a plugin, it seems like a great candidate for that.

otherwise, I give it a -1, because there is other software that will do this and it seems like an awfully big change (and I'm assuming a lot of work) for something only a few people would use.

Do you have a suggestion for non-commercial software that can do this efficiently?

hello,

I made an illustration of what I'd like (just to be sure everyone understands what I'm asking)

why? because it is difficult to encode? too long to encode? or because it does not correspond to the philosophy of MusicBee? or other ....
as a plugin that would be cool!
