Author Topic: Making MusicBee sort by album (similar to Windows Media Player)  (Read 3234 times)

Hey all. Forgive me, but I honestly like the way that Windows Media Player sorts albums.

I like being able to see all my albums, but not the songs to clutter up my view; and I like being able to click on the album icon to go to that album. That's all I realy need - well, that and the 'now playing' bar.

Any ideas on how to make this happen?

Use the "Configure Layout" button (shown in the screenshot) and choose artwork view

What do you mean by "now playing" bar?

Fantastic, this helps a whole bunch. :)

Next question; is there any way to group the albums alphabetically? Not sort, but group.

Also, what's the easiest way to merge all my compilation albums together?

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind with the alphabetical grouping, but you can have a look at it.

Look under "Custom AZ bar using vertical Column Browser"

I suggest you do a forum search as there was quite some discussion about this topic

Also make sure to have a look at the wiki, you will probably find answers to most of your questions there: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/MusicBee_Wiki

Also why make two separate topics about the same thing? Just bump your previous topic with a reply if you feel that your questions have not been answered sufficiently
