How can I fix windows 8 side by side scaling

As you can see there is tons of room for the now playing bar but it's not scaling correctly

that will be because of the way that skin layout has been defined. You might have better luck with other skins but i suspect most will not work ideally in a crampt width layout

Also how would I get the now playing to scale to the corner [if you go in side by side the now playing moves to wherever the corner was but it doesn't reset]
