Author Topic: Single track has three artist entries in artist brower [Resolved]  (Read 4448 times)

I'm stumped on this one guys. None of the tags seem to have any of these entries (other than 'Breakdlaw'):

The only place I can see the URL is in the 'copyright' section when I browse the details in Windows Explorer:

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

You can delete the extra values from the Tag Inspector: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Tag_inspector#Tag_Inspector

It looks like maybe there was a REMIXER tag originally?  Windows Media Player has been known to mess up non standard tags.

I feel pretty dumb for never knowing about the Tag Inspector. Thanks! I was able to get rid of that URL and the 'EMIXER' entry. However, now I have a new issue - "[Empty]" shows up in the artist browser for this song now, along with the actual artist.

Hmm.  And there are no blank entries in Tag Inspector?

None at all. It's quite strange. Even after restarting musicbee multiple times, it's still there. And the song doesn't actually appear there either, though I know that's what's causing '[Empty]' to appear as it was never there before.

Can you give us another screenshot, including the toolbar and left sidebar?

Here's how it looks. Note that if I click on '[Empty]', no tracks are in the list. I've done a search for the track title here.

I sent Steven a PM, but to keep the rest of you on track, I get the following error if I try to open the file in MPC-HC (and it fails to play):

Yep, that solved it. I'll keep that in mind if I have any future issues. Thanks!
