fixes a couple more GUI glitches and no longer flickers when you scroll with expanded album tracks selected.
I have also changed the "Play Now" and double click behavior for tracks in the expanded view so its consistent with the behavior when tracks are displayed on the bottom of the panel or when you drill down into an album

Really cool addition to a great player.

I love the new look, but would it be possible to get it to work with a right click and the normal drill down work with a left double click like before? (or the other way round)

Or better still an open in the right click menu that opens up the album as a double left click used to.

the new behavior can be disabled and restored to the old behavior in the Artwork layout preferences - untick "show tracks for the selected album"

I've found a bug in this: -

Sometimes this happens: -

But sometimes this happens, so track 13 over on the right has no track length displayed next to it: -

Also, if I play track 13, then double-click on a different track to play it, sometimes this happens: -

So track 13 is highlighted, which goes over the album art, and the little speaker icon is displayed next to it even though it's not the track that's playing. Track 7 is the one that's playing and that also has the speaker icon next to it.

I have other various artists albums and they all seem to display fine, so I'm not sure why this one screws the functionality up.

EDIT - I've found another various artists album that does the same thing. This happens when an album has 13 tracks on it.  Here's another example: -

What's causing it is that the column width for the tracks is too wide when there's only 13 tracks, but if there's 14 or more it works fine, as you can see here: -

are you using the version i posted this afternoon?

Yep. The version you linked to a couple of posts up. 2.4.5229, right?

The issue occurs with the default skin too, so it's not a skin issue.

I know it can be reverted to the original but it would be icing on the cake if both can be used at the same time. I like to drill down but I don't want to lose the new layout.

what font are you using? and if you hover the mouse over the album cover in the right panel or tag editor, what dimensions does the picture have?

There's 2 affected albums that I've found so far. In one case, the album art is 400 x 400. In the other it's 1,200 x 1,200.

I'm not sure where I find out what font I'm using, but the only setting I changed in that respect is under Layout (2) where "use custom font" is set to Segoe UI (12 point).

I can upload one of the affected albums if you like, then you can add it to your own library and see what happens. It only affects various artist albums (where the track artist names are displayed) that have exactly 13 tracks.

Sure, here you go: -

26/04/2014 20:12:45 - row height=41,pic={X=1621,Y=11,Width=280,Height=280},rowy1=83
26/04/2014 20:12:45 - rowy2=645,266,cols:660,availw=1599,rc=14
26/04/2014 20:12:45 - rowy2=358,266,cols:990,availw=1599,rc=7
26/04/2014 20:12:45 - rowy2=235,266,cols:1320,availw=1599,rc=4
26/04/2014 20:12:45 - fullr=4,rc=4,#tracks=13,colcount=3

Presumably the issue is with "colcount=3" as there's 4 columns, not 3, and it's the 4th one where track 13 is that's messed up.

Hey Steven! I was wondering if it'd be possible to maybe add some spacing in between different discs, like in the old mode? That's the only thing I've noticed is a bit off about this awesome new feature, thanks!

I noticed that it's not possible to rate tracks in the EV box. Would love to see this supported in the next version.
there is a bug with the current version if you have love and track rating both displayed. Thats fixed for the next update
