Author Topic: Ability for MB to read cue sheet instead of flac tag?  (Read 2805 times)

Hi all!

I think that it would be nice if MB has a option to use cue sheet instead of flac.
Sometimes I don't want to spend extra space on my HDD on converting files to have a proper information for files.

Here are pics for better understanding...

    As you can guess, the problem is with ALBUM tag of .flac file.

   This is what I get when I drag 'n' drop .cue file into MB.

MB already reads a cue sheet but it needs to have the same name (ending in .cue rather than .flac) and directory as the music file.
If that is true, MB should already read the cuesheet automatically.
You can also drag the .cue file into the now playing list if you want

Yes, MB reads .cue file, no problem, but the problem is that MB ignores information in .cue file if .flac file is tagged.

For example: In the first picture, album tag of a .flac file is inserted and it's not proper name of an album, it should be 'Body Love 2' which is stored in .cue file.
