When search my library by encoder field it works with flac but not mp3

Hi, I really like Musicbee. I've searched my library with flac in search box and encoder field checked and flac albums are shown but if I type mp3 or mreg in search box with encoder field checked no albums are shown. Even if I check Search all Fields it returns no results. What is it I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Add encoder column to the main panel and see yourself what entries are displayed for mp3 files. You could try "URL" instead of "Encoder" for search as it will find file format from file extension.

Thanks. That helped me greatly. I realized almost all flac had a refewrence to flac in encoder field but many mp3's had lame or no encoder in that field. I then did custom search by .ext which is really what I needed. Thanks again.
