Author Topic: FLAC in Library, AAC when transferring  (Read 3020 times)

I am wondering if this is possible.

I have several albums in FLAC that I convert to AAC 192 Kbps (for when I want to transfer over to a portable device).  Currently I am adding the AAC files in the library, but I essentially have two copies of every file (One in FLAC and one in AAC).

I want to migrate the entire library to only the FLAC files but when I am syncing with a portable device, have MusicBee transfer over the AAC version (save space).

I have both FLAC and AAC files in the same folder.  Alternatively, a way to convert to AAC only when transferring and keep only the FLAC copy.

Thanks.

...a way to convert to AAC only when transferring and keep only the FLAC copy.
Plug in your portable device and then set the preferences in the Devices tag.

This might be slightly out of date, but pretty well described here:

Bee excellent to each other...
