track ratings

I am using MB 2.1.4924 on Win 7 64 bit OS and really love it.
I have noticed that my track and album ratings never change although I have set auto rate in the Preferences and Show ratings also.
I cannot find anything in FAQ or in the forums.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

You should manually rate your songs. Album rating can be calculated automatically as an average of ratings of album tracks (but can be also set manually if you want).

boroda74 is correct.  Albums can be auto-rated based on the tracks, but tracks must be rated manually.
