hi there
I recently discovered MB. Congrats, great job.
I had a library with 40k sound files (mp3s, flac etc). These days I'm trying to build a new media library with music videos, ad clips, podcasts, movies (mp4, mkv, webm mostly).
I don't like itunes for many reasons and i try to use MB as an alternative.
The support  for webm files natively (just like VLC) i think is essential.
Also, tag writing support for video files (just like Mp3Tag or TagScanner).

Congrats again, keep up the good work!  8)

I'd like to have tagging vor video files as well.
Maybe a support for the most popular containers (such as AVI, MOV, MP4, MKV, FLV) would be enough and not too difficult?

Some video support is already available by enabling the plugin in Preferences > Plugins. It's disabled by default.

I can't remember if tagging was ever implemented but given the amount of work to even get basic playback working, I wouldn't expect to see any further work done on video support in the near future.

Main discussion when it was implemented is here:

Currently tag reading for mp4 only is implemented. No tag writing because it may require to rewrite video file comletely (it can take very much time) in some cases.
