As the title suggests. Is there a way to make the quicksearch bar in the "Now Playing" playlist work like the search function in the "Now Playing Assistant" function? I don't like the first result way which limits searching some songs for me.

Musicbee version: 2.4.5342

After using it for a little while, i noticed that the DSP does cut a little bit from the beginning of a track when it's on in some. I had the same issue with the "remove silence at start and end of track" function in the preferences menu.

Thanks for implementing that in the new 2.4 beta. I'm testing it right now and it seems to do the job, no problems with songs without silence ATM but what i see is that the DSP also skips the silence at the end of a track, which makes the "remove Silence at start and end of track" function in the Preferences menu obsolete. I have yet to see if it skips silence at the beginning of a track.

It's more work, but I get around that by splitting the track into two separate files.
mp3directcut is best for that.
Yeah i could do that, but I'd prefer to keep them unedited.

I've got a request for the sound effect "remove silence at start and end of track". Could you also make an option to remove silence within the track? This is very handy for tracks with hidden tracks. These tracks has mostly a very long silence sequence in the middle of the whole track.
Here's an example of what i mean:

For the minimal seconds of silence for the silence removal to kick in, i think that 5 seconds is enough. It's preferable if there's an option to set the minimal second of silence if 5 seconds is not enough.

As last i would if this option could be implemented, that it doesn't require to enable the "remove silence at start and end of track" option. I don't use that option myself since it can skip a few seconds of the beginning or the ending in some songs. Maybe it's also an idea to revamp that option with the implementation of the requested feature.

It's way better now, however it still cut some ends, especially if there is a song without silence in the end. But there is way less end-cutting now.

The improved skip silence at the begin and end of the song function is not perfect ATM. It cuts some seconds of the ending (not the silence) away from some songs.

i didnt see that in your original request and you are right its doesnt. I'm not sure i can easily implement that and i will put that aspect on hold
Thats what i actually wanted since the beginning. However i didn't made my message so clear to understand so yeah...

Thanks for taking my request BTW. I would be really appreciated if that function is going to be implemented in MusicBee!

Thank you Steven! I will try to test it.

EDIT: It doesn't skip the silence within the track. However it does skip the silence at the begin and the end of the track.

Thanks for the support guys (and girls). I really hope that Steven sees this idea and can implement it.

This option keeps me away from Musicbee for a couple of months and since there's a file called "bassmidi.dll" in the Musicbee folder, why don't make it functional?

Thanks,

Cypher

I know that we can skip the silence at the beginning and the start.
But i want a better skip silence funtion, like that from Foobar2000, that you can configure this function and skips the silence in the song too.
Like this:

Can you make this function like this?

Thanks, Cypher
