General Discussions / Best settings for Player
« on: January 14, 2023, 03:33:47 PM »
Despite the history on the forum concerning the DLNA plug in Its working OK for me. My question is in the player settings for output and sound device does the choice have any effect on the sound quality of the file being sent. I have mine set as direct sound and primary sound driver. thanks

Questions / airplay installation
« on: November 26, 2022, 05:30:00 PM »
I'm having trouble understanding the instal. In the player preferences I can see the remote speakers output, but can't see it in the
output to drop down box, so I don't know how to send a file via airplay. The configure box is showing all 3 of my airplay devices. Am I missing part of the instal like a player or something?

thanks  :-[

General Discussions / How do you people listen to your Music using MB
« on: March 21, 2021, 02:06:50 AM »
I have posted similar questions before particularly with regard to DLNA support, and we all know where that ended.
So what I am asking is with MB being  the best music manager free or not  how are you people listening to your MB organised music library. PC Speakers, USB leads to amplifiers, headphones, network? You are all listening some way so TELL ME!

Oh Saint Pred!
Since you replied to me all is good. I can't replicate the "bug".  But I haven't changed any settings. Will be right back when it happens again. Me thinks it will, LoL

Questions / now playing is this a bug
« on: March 02, 2021, 09:15:24 PM »
I've noticed recently if i put a list of tracks on now playing it plays all of them OK but after they have all played it leaves the last track on now playing as the first track. I then can't clear it  and have to include it as the first track on a new player list. a bug maybe  thanks

Yes I have a CXN (not V2) and I to am frustrated that this is not being developed anymore. I don't have your problem with playing tracks. Here is a screenshot of my settings .

the only problem i had was gapless playback. I solved this by using a prog called  tuneblade in conjunction with MB. Its a bit complex to set up but it does work. you may be able to solve your problem by using tuneblade.

Bug Reports / Re: now playing list bug
« on: January 02, 2021, 12:09:14 AM »
Sorry Steven that has not worked for me. Open MB and drag an album  to playing now. Start playing then stop and try to clear, the 1st song is still there and you cant delete it.  Also if you  play the list  it will clear songs as they are finished playing with no option to change this, this did not happen before.

;) hope this hasn't been explained before
If I have a list in now playing, if I clear it it always leaves the 1st track displayed . then I need to faff about to clear it.
Thank you

;D Been using MB since 2013. Got into a conflab with moderators about upnp, still puzzled why Steven doesn't prioritise it. BUT to be honest the only prob I had with it was gapless playback ( for live albums) which I have resolved by using Tuneblade. Otherwise it is the best by far.

First to Hiccup.
So you don't feel the need for a working DLNA solution. Can I ask you then what are you playing your library to? PC speakers, mobile phone? If it isn't to any HIFI device then I can understand why you are not bothered.

I read your post regarding Tuneblade and am now trialing it. My problem with gapless playback has been solved, but there are settings etc. that need to be done when swapping between apps. So far seems promising, thanks for the heads up.

Questions / Re: Does the UPnP plugin work for you?
« on: March 29, 2020, 01:41:05 AM »
:o I am "puzzled" by your post considering the sarcastic reply from my last post I did concerning the UPNP problem. But lets try to move on. Here is my experience with the plugin. When I first installed it, it worked with some problems ie. no support for flac files. This was trying to connect to a Cambridge CXN. However an update from Cambridge sorted this. The only problem I have now is gapless playback, MP3 or flac.
