can you send a PNG?
Yes, if you can give me button background with transparency. Or you can just use font: Segoe UI, Bold, 7pt, text antialiasing on.

Steven, dont worry, I've encoded image myself.

If somebody wants to make own 'Play' button image for Artwork view, below are sources and instructions:

First issue
Main panel - track detail view – rightclick – Play more… - Play title ‘…’ Now and Qeue title ‘…’ next and Queue title ‘…..’ last
The second word 'title' is in translation small case like in German “Spiele titel ‘…’ jetzt”. In German 'Titel' is written capitalized.
both fixed for the next update
Steven, its a problem, because tag name in these commands should be lowercased in Russian. Maybe you can add option in .lng file for these cases?

Steven, can you re-encode 'Play' button image according to .PSD below?

Change string id to #AutoSD.ctl.493A25AE#

I'm using 1,4 scaling factor now and I'm OK with it so far. How about the 1,45 option you have introduced recently for the Russian translation  ??? Is it better for you ???
Actually 1.4 is perfect for Russian (I could use even lesser value), except for tag editor window. And using factor 1.45 doesn't mean that its real factor (I think real factor is about 1.41-1.42), because I cant use fractional number of chars in string #Main.msg.abefopv#. I guess that its senseless to request Steven for very fine adjustment of controls before most translations are finished.

In my opinion "de" should be moved completely to the left just under "mapper". The big blank box should be next to it and "à" between the two boxes
What about moving text 'de' to the end of '... explortees'? I think that placing 'à' between two boxes will raise a number of issues with other languages (eg. for Russian this text should be wider).

1, 8 - i dont think thats resolvable for now. The predefined custom tags in the drop-down come from a configuration file, so each localisation would need its own config file. The default tag labels for Custom1..9 and Virtual1..3 i think might need to stay as-is as well but i will have a look at that
Well, not a big issue, but maybe later?

3 - its a hardcoded link to the musicbee forum - why would that be localised?
I meant that menu item may be shown as a descriptive localized text (e.g. 'Visit MusicBee forum'), not that hyperlink itself should be localized :)

4,5,6,7 - thats related to shrinking down the scaling to 1.4 - I will have a look but you might need to increase it slightly
It seems that these issues were resolved after changing scaling to 1.4 and newly introduced now. But of course I can slightly enlarge scaling.

before you adjust the width let me make some tweaks to the editor panel as i need to make some adjustments for the french translation which should benefit yours (they are just small width adjustments though)
OK. Please let me know when you finish tweaks.

boroda74, could You provide me the exact "#Main.msg.abefopv#" string for Polish (scaling factor of 1,4 and 1,6)  as I can't generate it with the spreadsheet  ???

Sure. See this text file. But why you cant generate it?

Bolshoe spasibo :)

By the way, I think you should use scaling factor ~1.4 (1.6 is tooo big). I was using 1.6 initially for Russian, but after discussion with Steven changed it to 1.4 and requested Steven for movement and resizement of some controls.

Steven, I've found newly introduced layout handling issues in .4161 and some localization issues. See screenshots:

I think option #2 may be very convenient if substitutions wont be hardcoded in MB, but some special .lng file will be used for this, especially if filename substitutions may be used in ANY .lng file for any displayed filename (eg. playlists, eq presets, etc.):

$LanguageNames.lng (or maybe $AllLanguages.lng - this file must be loaded before any current .lng file):
#filename.German#  Deutsch

#filename.Recently Added#  <translated 'recently added'>

Should work, but has a downside: for showing the list MusicBee has to open every file to know how to display the title. +1 from me if it's not too slow.
+1. I think tag with translated name of language MUST be the FIRST tag in .lng file, so it may speed up reading language names from all .lng files (i.e. MB shouldn't read every .lng completely, but only first string from each file to display localization file name/comments in native language).

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Subsonic Client
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:11:05 AM »
if i understand the service correctly (only briefly looked at it), you can store you library on their server and then stream the file from anywhere (sounds to me like the new google music service in beta)
So i can understand it serves as a backup to your library and you can also stream to your phone.
No, Steven. Subsonic is media server installed on your PC which have own url and may be accessible from Internet (like ms windows media server). It can stream music to mobile devices and to other PCs. As far as remember you was planning to implement the same functionality in MB, but gave up it. Now it can be done via plugin.

Steven, what strings parameter {0} is constructed from in #Main.msg.0up#? String #Main.msg.0up# looks fine in english, but in russian it looks like '# files # files updated' :( If I change string #Main.msg.0up# form '{0} updated' to 'updated {0}' then statusbar text is '# files updated # files', i.e. something is added to the beginning of string #Main.msg.0up# and something is substituted instead of '{0}'.

With all the due respect, but such an editor doesn't deserve to be used in my opinion (or at least it should allow to disable such an option).
I highly recommend Notepad++
I was using Word for my translation first, but after you mentioned that you use Notepad++, I also begin to use it. As it turned out Notepad++ is very convenient for such tasks.

Steve, I can't get to work these translations

#Main.key.Insert#   Insert

I'm using ver. .4153

Do the IDs I've added actually exist?
I think you must download .4157:

2 issues:

B77. File organizer or device settings: button ‘…’ on the right side of ‘move files to folder’ and ‘root folder’ input fields – in opened dialog text ‘Select one of the following folders’ below title bar is not localized.

B78. ‘Renumber tracks’ window/hover mouse over ‘up’, ’down’ arrows: tooltip text ‘Re-order files…’ is not localized.

+1. But I think MB should retry search by swapping 2 parts that are not necessarily delimitered by comma but also may be delemitered by space (eg. try to search 'Boris Grebenschikov' instead of 'Grebenschikov Boris' used in album artist tag).
