At least in the track info panel there is a way to head.
Just add between fields or even between text ";" and enable multiline.
It doesn't work in the main panel, though.
But, if I remember correctly, from reading in another thread that Steve wanted to implement the same info track panel entry system for the main panel as well.

Came into this one with a strong will to +1 it, but thinking more about it:

Unless there are other panels or areas in MusicBee besides the Track Information panel where you'd like to make use of these line breaks, I think what you want is already possible. I can't find it right now but I swear hiccup has a thread somewhere on this forum where he gave tips on how to simulate line breaks in the Track Info panel though the use of semi-colons and the option to "split multi-value tags into multiple rows".

Hoping he'll be able to assist with a link to that thread when he comes across this.

I, too, remember somewhere in the forum someone had mentioned this and suggested control characters for going to a carriage return in a virtual tag but I haven't found it since.
I remember something like this /n/.

It would be nice to have the . (multilines)
For example:
Artist: <artist> cr/
Title: <title> cr/
Song length: <length> Year: <year> cr/
Etc. etc.
With a single field you could create a set of information that currently requires many virtual tags.
This could be placed in a panel, for example, the track information. You could create entire information masks with a single virtual tag.

Bug Reports / It looks like a backup related error

Hi!!!

I have this error randomly. It's been happening since I updated to the latest version.


Giving OK, the following error appears
Giving ok on the error below the program hangs for a few seconds and then closes.
Reopening it, there are no latest changes regarding the virtual fields or preferences changes, for the rest, however, such as the insertion of new tracks, they are present.
I also tried to go back to old saved settings but after a while, especially when the program plays but nothing is done, this error comes out.

I remember incorrectly, or I dreamed it, it seems to me that in MB there was a system whereby clicking on the title of the album or artist, in the main panel, opened the complete album or the singer's discography in a new tab.
Is there and where is it?

This has been requested quite a few times before.

Also, 7 x 4 ≠ 280.

I did a search but couldn't find anything, I probably spelled it wrong.
You are right 4 x7 = 28. I don't understand why I wrote 280 and I also did the calculations. It will be the age!!!!    
I would be interested in the answers that have been given previously, could you give me the right search terms?

HI!!!
I had a somewhat peculiar idea.
I have many collections in my library that contain the same song but on different files in each collection.
If the MB could have multi album so that the same file can be shared by multiple collections so as to save space in bytes.
Example: the same song appears in 7 collections, the single song occupies 4 MB but multiplying it by 7 becomes 280 MB, with the multi album you could save 276 MB.
By author there is often the best, the greatest, the monographic, the period like the 70s plus the collections of various artists that contain the song of an author whose discography you already have.
I don't know how easy it is to script this but it would be so useful, in my opinion.

HI,

I had a big problem. I mistakenly selected a 3000 track and in my haste I didn't see mixed in the album tag and I edited it and so it changed me in one fell swoop about 200 albums, which I'm still restoring.
You could put an alert that reads: Warning: you are trying to edit over 100 tracks, are you sure? Yes or no.

Do you have the "playing tracks" panel visible? When a track is playing that needs to be edited, you can simply right-click on the playing track > Edit and you can edit it. Or you can use a hot-key as long as the track is selected.

I know. And in fact I use it in certain views but in others I don't have the space to put this panel just for editing a song.
I believe that everyone always has the player control visible and therefore adding a track properties command to modify the running track in the menu invoked with the right mouse button would not be bad.

What in particular are you advocating editing? The order of tracks in the playlist?

I hope you understand what I write, I use google translator and not if what I write in Italian is translated correctly.

Let's see if I can explain myself better. I have a play list running and in the meantime I'm updating the tags of other songs. During the playlist, a song starts which I realize needs modifications.
How do I change it if I'm currently working with another song?
The only thing that works, not always and I don't know why, is "locate playing track to source" by pressing the right mouse button on the player control.
However, as mentioned above, this doesn't always work and when it does it takes you to the song being played, by selecting it. From here you can edit but not return to the previous activity.
It would not be convenient to have a command on the right mouse button menu on the player control, such as: "properties of the playing song", so that the dialogue for editing the playing song opens.
It would be more immediate and would allow you to edit the song's tags without having to move from the current activity.

Perhaps consider initially posting in 'Questions' instead of in 'Bugs' more often?

This is not a bug.
$IsNull does not create spaces. Your own formula does.
(between {color} and {font})

Just think, I tried everything and thought it was a bug of that $IsNull command. I have not seen the obvious. In fact, once that space was removed, everything went fine.
I'm sorry I made a mistake, I'll try to be more careful.

I created this code that allows me to enter both the disc number, if there are more than one in the album, and also the title of the grouped sub-tracks at the same time.

You're arranging songs while listening to a playlist or random songs and realize that what's playing needs a quick tweak. Right click on play control -> edit track.
So you don't have to move from what you're editing or listening to.
Would it be comfortable?

HI!!

Why are tags cut off if using a large font?
Couldn't the field be made to fit the height of the font?
As in the image below, I would like to display the album title and data very large but this is not possible.
