Questions / Multi artists and bio

Hi !!
I have noticed a problem. When a song has two performers and the second only appears in this song, it has no other songs alone in the library, it is impossible to insert its image and biography because the first performer is always proposed.
Maybe there is a way but I haven't found it.

Proof that it now works well.

While we're at it. Couldn't you put the tracks next to the cover not below? It would improve the visualization.
As it stands now it is not very clear and with that space left by the cover it is also a waste of space.
I ask here, I know I should have put my request on the wish list but probably few use this type of visualization or that's okay.
If it's not too complicated ...

you havent sent the entire contents of the settings file
also i will need any custom tab layouts you use - these are located in the sub-folder AppData\Saved Settings\Layouts (help/ support/ open appdata folder)

Sorry, I didn't know exactly what to send and I saved what was displayed in the help menu.
I did not send you what you asked for but I risk sending you other things that have nothing to do with it. I don't understand English and I use google translate but I don't know how accurate it is. For me who must understand and for you who must understand me.
However I did a clean install of musicbee on another computer where it was never installed and the error remains without changing anything, I just reloaded my entire library from a backup disk.
I did:
1) chose a piece that had two secutors

If you select an artist it displays the single song, if you click so that there is no artist selection then it adds the duplicate or more if the performers of the song if there are more than two.

By setting the display as artists and grouping by artist.
If the artist is multiple, multiple tracks are displayed, one for each multiple artist.
In reality the song is only one but with several artists.
There can be the three images above one for each artist of the song but not the song.
The first time I encountered this I deleted the two extra songs which I thought were duplicated. It actually deleted the main song, effectively deleting it from the library.

One of your plugins is causing the error. Disable all plugins via Preferences > Plugins and close MB. Launch MB and see if the issue reoccurs. If not, then re-enable one plugin at a time, checking to reproduce the issue and each plugin is enabled. Once the error occurs, you've found the plugin that's causing it. Then post the error message on the thread for that plugin so the developer can take a look at the issue.

If you're using the DLNA/UPNP plugin, I would disable -and- uninstall it before doing anything else as that has a history of issues - mostly severe memory use causing the PC to lock up.

Thank you for your help. This is probably the case. In fact I had installed a plug in for testing, but I no longer remembered, almost certainly it was that. But I can't know immediately because closing and reopening musicbee the error disappeared without disabling any plug in.
In any case I have disabled all plugins except discogs and addition taggin tool which are the only ones that are useful for me.

What script are you running?
MB does not have any native/built-in scripts that I'm aware of, so this issue should be posted in the thread for whatever script you're using.

Excuse me, but the script I created has nothing to do with it but it always does it with any virtual field, even if then closing the virtual fields panel the script works normally.
I take advantage of it to report that closing musicbee and reopening it the error disappears.
I noticed that other errors, maybe it is the same error, occur under certain conditions and then do not repeat themselves, closing and reopening the program or following other paths.
They are those errors that are cursed for programmers because they are not easy to solve.

Edit > Edit Preferences > Hotkeys > Edit: Save

By default it uses Ctrl+S, which makes sense for a 'save' operation.
Testing it now, it appears there are some key combinations it won't let you use, including the Enter key on its own.

It's true!!!. I hadn't thought of putting the enter key for the save as a shortcut.
It works but has a fairly serious shortcoming, if musicbee is open the enter key is intercepted in any application, even if minimized, so it does not function send anywhere. It is necessary to close the program.
However, I did some tests. Sending by itself is deleterious because it is intercepted wherever a sending is needed even in other programs.
I think the only solution is programmatically, when the cursor is an edit field it accepts the enter key as an save.
Or, even better, the data is saved when you leave the field.
All right!!! It was an idea but in the end it can be done without.

MusicBee Wishlist / Enter key on keyboard instead of disk icon

When you are adjusting some tags on many tracks you have to press on that little disk icon when you are done. It doesn't seem very comfortable to me.
Wouldn't it be better to hit the enter key on your keyboard when you are done entering?

I have created a virtual field with the sequence of the fields I want to display.
Each information has a different size, but the field of the main window has the alignment at the top and the small writings are displayed misaligned.
If it were possible to have the alignment at the bottom.
