Beyond MusicBee / Best Free & Paid Android Music Player
« on: April 28, 2016, 11:33:55 AM »
In your opinion what is the Best Free & Paid Music Players for Android. I would like your favourites and suggestions.

Also if MusicBee comes to Android it's popularity would skyrocket! Currently too many people whom I know, don't know about the software. Steven should seriously consider this.

Questions / Re: Transfer musicbee files to Linux Mint

You can read Windows files/folders from Linux Mint too. You don't need to transfer them. Just make sure you shut down Windows fully before switching to Mint, else you might see Cannot Mount Drive errors when trying to load Windows partitions.

Questions / Re: Please, realizes a classical minimizing and maximizing
« on: April 22, 2016, 04:37:26 AM »
What I think is that programs that refuse to close/go-away is trying so hard to be in the system tray. Classical minimize and maximize should be minimize to taskbar or tray (setting) for - and X for close. Why would someone need a 2 step procedure to close a program by default.

And OP has got to learn some manners if he's to be taken seriously. But the way moderators and developer has expressed themselves shows what a gentleman's (& woman) forum this is.

@jackuars- three of the four preceding replies are from you.  And all three say the exact same thing.  Please don't repeat post.  Thanks.

Not sure what happened there. Probably the network connectivity. I have deleted them.

Ok, nice. You convinced me, I'll vote too.

edit,
Do I understand correctly you have to post a message with your vote? You cannot just click somewhere?
(lazy me speaking here ;-)

You can vote without posting a message too. MT (MalwareTips) members has tried to be more effective, when choosing products and leaving a note, so that it will convince other's why that particular product is good.

Also it's the 12,000th most visited website in the world.

I have now changed the settings in the thread so that, users can see the current results of the voting even before voting in the poll.  Sadly MB is last. :(

The nominations has ended and MusicBee has entered the Top 10 for the Poll thread :D
https://malwaretips.com/threads/best-free-software-2016-poll.58454/

I am sure that's nice, and that the intention are well-meant and to be taken as a big compliment, but am I the only one who feels it awkward to have MusicBee in the top 10 of a malware tips website?

Best Free Software competition is simply a thread started at MalwareTips in the Software Discussions forum. Infact it's a thread started by me, and I specifically listed that no anti-malware/virus are to be mentioned, because there had been a separate poll for that and there would a bias for choosing security software's because it's specifically a site meant for it.

Users were asked to nominate their softwares to be included in the poll and out of 160 votes for nearly 70 softwares , 10 of the most nominated products had been selected: https://malwaretips.com/threads/best-free-software-nomination-thread.58191/

And then asked to vote in the poll: https://malwaretips.com/threads/best-free-software-2016-poll.58454/

The community out there is great, and is the one of the best structured, effective and addictive forums that I've seen out there.

Is there any set-date as to when the new website/forum will come live?

Questions / Re: Share your MusicBee Config here
« on: October 07, 2015, 02:24:36 PM »
Hi, Steven. I was only talking about Layout config. Just like how this user has asked: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=16591.0

I think it will be a good feature, especially for people weak in customizing their MB looks. I've asked the same question months before, and I know people who would like to have the same.

Questions / Share your MusicBee Layout Config here
« on: October 06, 2015, 02:23:11 PM »
I saw some amazing layout config from people who are posting here. Manually setting it up is a pain. I'd like to know if there is a way to share layout config, and just the config file.

If it's possible, please share your layout config here. Also post screenshot of your MusicBee interface.

If it's not, this is a feature request I'd like to suggest, so that others can simply copy the .cfg file (or whatever) and make their MB to look like others.

Questions / Re: Availability on the forum

Have you ever thought about working as a team on MusicBee? I reckon you are the sole developer, but the way I see it, there are plenty of talented programmers around here. Maybe it will help to reduce the work load, introduce more ideas etc etc.  Am not asking to make MB Open Source.
