General Discussions / Any way to filter by Love in MusicBee?
« on: November 01, 2022, 04:11:26 AM »
Is there any way to filter all songs by love in the music library? Say I have like 1000 and I love 500 of them. Is there any way to filter my music library so I can only see those loved songs in the library? I want to be able to shuffle through all loved songs if that makes sense, without having to listen to the unloved songs. Thanks in advance

Questions / How to mass rename files in MusicBee?
« on: August 06, 2022, 06:58:34 PM »
Hello a lot of my music has a number at the start of the filename (e.g. 32 - Radiohead - The Bends.mp3)

I was wondering if there's a way to mass remove all these numbers from the filename within MusicBee so that it doesn't mess up the date added, play count, etc. But not all my music has a number at the start so I don't want to change every file. (e.g. New Radicals - You Get What You Give.mp3)

Thanks in advance

Questions / How do I manage duplicate files that have different names?
« on: October 22, 2021, 06:12:02 AM »
Hello everybody. Pretty much I was on Spotify before switching to MusicBee as I was sick of having to switch from Spotify to Youtube to Soundcloud so I decided find an app that I could have everything I listen to in one place. So for Spotify, I found a way to convert all my playlists to mp3 and saved them on my hard drive. However, for each playlist I downloaded, if there was the exact same song in 2 different playlists, it would download a completely new file of the song. Luckily on MusicBee, I can hide the duplicates from my library, however all my playlists (all the ones I downloaded from spotify at least) are duplicates of the same song. This is an example of what it looks like on my hard drive: https://imgur.com/a/yHPZAB9. So if I deleted all the duplicate files from the "Manage Duplicate" sections in MusicBee, my playlists would be missing infinite files.

Anyways I was wondering what would be the easiest way to get rid of all these files without messing up all of my playlists? My hard drive has 24.8gb of music and 3500 files whilst on MusicBee it only shows 16.2gb and 2400 files, so yeah its definitely a waste of storage. I've had trouble with this in the past like I think 2 months ago I tried getting rid of duplicates but I ended up messing everything up so I just decided to live with wasted space but yeah. I think I tried using the remapping method? Thanks in advance
