Cool.
By the way, I tested with both semicolons and commas, and only commas will work for separating the words in the list of words to be ignored.

Thanks for the help!

No way! This is so awesome.
Is it case sensitive?
I assume I need to separate the words in the field with a semicolon(?).
Thanks!
Use a comma to separate the words/letters/numbers/symbols. I'm pretty sure it's not case sensitive.

Cool. Thanks, Phred.
Also, by curiosity, I was wondering if the words in the "ignore" list will exclusively be ignored at the beginning of a title or also in the middle of it, even though this question will probably never be of any practical use. 😂
Thanks again.

Hey.
Is there a way to add words in the list of that to be ignored in the sorting of artist/album/track titles?
For example, the word "the" is ignored in artist sorting is such a way that an artist named "The Musicbee" will be sorted in M rather than in T.
See, I would like artist names starting with French and Spanish determiners, and perhaps other such words, to be treated in the same way as English artist names.
Thanks!

Questions / iTunes XML Library File Selective Export?
« on: October 28, 2020, 05:59:40 PM »
Greetings.
I use the "export the library as an iTunes formatted XML file" option in my MusicBee settings in order to synchronise my music library with my DJ software. It works great because, in my DJ software, I have an "iTunes" section which is separated from my DJ remix database, which I don't want to be included in my MusicBee library. In other words, I am very satisfied with this feature.
The only thing that bugs me is that all my podcasts are also exported to this XML library file, and now my DJ software is crowded with these, which makes it very more complicated to browse through my songs while DJing as it was in the past, before I subscribed to a few podcast channels.
Is it possible to export only my music files to this iTunes formatted XML file?
Thank you.
God bless.

Questions / Play/Pause Key Takeover?
« on: October 28, 2020, 05:38:19 PM »
Greeting.
I noticed a lot of software these days making use of the play/pause key and actually highjacking the latter so that the key only affects a single application.
For example, the iTunes software by Apple actually does this in MS Windows 10.
Just to make sure that I'm clear, I'm speaking about the play/pause key oftentimes situated within the upper part of PC keyboards, mainly those distributed by Microsoft.

I've noticed that MusicBee does not perform this "play/pause key highjack" and this, therefore, results in triggering the play/pause option of several applications all at once, which is what I'd like to be able to fix, if possible.
Is there a setting that I can change to modify this behaviour? Maybe a plugin?
Thank you.
Have a nice one.

Questions / Re: Several Artwork Images for a Single File?
« on: October 27, 2020, 12:27:50 AM »
Sir Frankz, you have incredible artistic talent. Perhaps you could make your own album artwork. Thank you very much. I found that by scrolling down the menu, as Hiccup mentioned (many thanks to you too, sir), I can access the option I was looking for.
Have a great evening all.
Problem solved. I'm locking this topic.
Cheers and God bless.

Thank you for your reply.
I see that there is a "primary picture" checkbox in the "Edit" menu. I cannot uncheck it, though. I believe that this is due to the fact that there is only one artwork picture for the song.
There seems to be no option but to delete the present artwork in order to add another one, at this point. I must be missing on something. Does the "picture type" dropdown menu have something to do with this?
Thank you again.
Have a great afternoon.

Questions / Several Artwork Images for a Single File?
« on: October 26, 2020, 01:32:11 PM »
Greetings.
In Itunes, there is this option for selecting two artwork images for a single file. One artwork image is displayed as the album (or EP or single) artwork, and the other is displayed as the song artwork, which appears in the "now playing" section.
Is there a way to achieve this in Musicbee?
Thank you.
Best wishes.
