Hello,

I can confirm that the "Album Artist" tag is different for both of the albums in question, and yet they are still grouped together.

Hello,

I'm sorry, I don't know if this is a bug or if there is something wrong with my settings. But Musicbee is grouping together tracks with the same album name but have different artists/album artists/album artwork/year etc.

For example, I have two albums in my music library that are named "Form & Beauty". They are entirely unrelated, composed by different artists in different years etc. But Musicbee groups these together as a single album.

FWIW, my view is "Album Covers". My "Sort By" setting is "Date Added/Album". My "Group By" setting is "No Grouping". I have tried to fiddle with these settings, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks!

Questions / Help with file organisation syntax
« on: January 17, 2022, 10:50:09 AM »
Hello,

I am taking advantage of Musicbee's automatic file organisation feature. I am trying to get Musicbee to rename and organise my files in a way that PleX likes to read them.

This has been pretty easy, but I am struggling with disc numbers. Here are PleX's instructions:

"For albums that span more than one disc, you simply prepend the disc number to the front of the track number. So, track two on disc three would be "302 - TrackName.ext"

This works great, except when disc numbers are not present in my iD3 tags (usually because there is only one disc). This results in a file name which is: "Unknown Disc#05 - Going.mp3"

Can I set up the syntax in such a way where IF the disk doesn't have Disc values in its iD3 tag, it will ignore that string, resulting in: "05 - Going.mp3"

Thanks!

Bug Reports / Error message when trying to create a new playlist
« on: March 19, 2021, 10:35:49 AM »
Hello,

I have quite a few playlists, and Musicbee has always handled them flawlessly. I have also created many new playlists with Musicbee before.

But today, when trying to create a playlist, I get the following error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Questions / Re: Problem with 'synchronize tags' feature
« on: October 18, 2020, 11:06:38 AM »
Thanks for the welcome! I'm loving MusicBee.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my original post, but what you describe as the function of synchronise tags is exactly what I want to do. My MusicBee library data is exactly what I want it to be (after I imported the iTunes XML). What I want to do is write the tags in MusicBee's database to the FLAC and MP3 files themselves.

When I do this, I always have 2.6k tracks which are stubborn. They will show up again as having inconsistent tags if I launch the 'synchronise files' feature again.

Thanks for your help!

Questions / Problem with 'synchronize tags' feature
« on: October 17, 2020, 10:02:04 AM »
I am having problems with the synchronize tags feature.

I select all the items in my music library, and no matter how many times I scan them for inconsistent tags, and rewrite those tags using the feature, when I re-scan there is always a significant amount of tracks which are again picked up for having inconsistent tags (around 2.5k tracks).

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks
