Questions / Re: move my playlist including "Play Count"
« on: April 27, 2020, 07:25:10 PM »
thank you very much frankz, I'll be looking into the link you provided.
About my editing the file: I had a backup and restored it, but honestly the edited playlist was working quite smoothly, just the play count was not there (all zero). Maybe further on I'd have noticed more problems...

Questions / move my playlist including "Play Count"
« on: April 27, 2020, 04:31:43 PM »
Hello,
I'd like to move my playlist files (mp3) to a different folder/drive. What I did is edit the file "MyPlaylist.mbp" and change all occurences of c:\old to c:\new. But now my "Play count" for all files is lost. I heavily rely on the play count for some purposes, so it is essential to me.

Any help please? I'm also interested in workarounds.

Thank you very much in advance!

I would support this. It causes some annoyance for using the fine musicbee for musician purposes :)

yes, exactly, I only see either ASIO (when such a device is selected) or the rest, but never both.
To be precise: you can select ASIO in the preferences menu -> Player -> output . When you do this, the dropdown below "sound device" shows only ASIO devices. And so does then the context menu when right-clicking the player.

Thank you very much! Understood...

Dear developers(s),

after sorting out some final minor issues, musicbee is now my favorite player!

As a musician though I'd like to have the possibility to switch quickly between devices that are ASIO and non-ASIO. Would there be a possibility to extend the context menu "Output to" to include all devices?

Thank you in advance!

Questions / play after double click on file in explorer [SOLVED]
« on: March 30, 2020, 01:57:03 PM »
Hello,

probably a dumb newbie q again:

My simple goal:
1- double click on file in explorer
2- musicbee starts and plays file, or if already started switches to playing my file

What actually happens:
1- double click on file in explorer
2- musicbee starts and does not play anything. If already started, it stops playback completely

----------

What I tried already:
- checking Player->resume playback
- checking Player->resume position
- selecting Now Playing->doublecklick action-> if playback is stopped & when tracks are playing = "Play Now"

Thank you again for this very fine product!

-------------

SOLVED!

Right after posting, I found the solution: the command for launching musicbee that was created by windows was lacking the "%1" parameter!!! Now all works fine!
Is this a "problem" of the portable version?

Questions / Re: loop one single song (not a playlist)
« on: March 28, 2020, 02:31:50 PM »
Thank you very much! Actually, now i'm felling like an idiot, because I saw the "1" but discarded without testing it as "loop once". Jusd testing it would have been much easier than registering here and so on... Anyway, the good thing is that now I'm registered and can ask more silly questions  ;D

Thanks again!

Questions / loop one single song (not a playlist) [SOLVED]
« on: March 28, 2020, 11:36:46 AM »
Hello,
I'm new to musicbee and love it so far! Excellent! As a musician, I'd like to have the possibility to loop one song over and over but NOT using the only way that I found so far: create a playlist with only that one song.
This is how I practice:
I have a playlist with all my songs: song1, song2, song3. Now I want to play song1 in a loop as long as I want, then the same with song2 and so on.

Did I miss something? Almost all players that I know of have a button that activates the looping of a single song WITHIN a playlist. Does musicbee have it hidden somewhere?

Thank you very much in advance!
