MusicBee Wishlist / genre editor search box?
« on: November 24, 2019, 11:25:59 AM »
i guess it would be useful to have a field that highlights and jump to the every instance of searched term in order to faster change and avoid doubles and errors in the list instead of having to run through all of it. the default list is already interpreted in a given fashion (official or whatever) but the phrasing is different from mine hence making it harder to find the exact correlation between the 2.

Questions / correct TAGGER QUERIES
« on: November 23, 2019, 03:40:37 PM »
I made it in finding the exact release for my first test cd and i am very happy to see that i got results both from discogs and musicbrainz.
with foobar i couldn't find nothing anyhow with both discogs or mbz plugin but i don't think it was because of words.

to get results i had however to change automatic submitted input fields (aside tracks number which I left unchanged) since they contained accented characters and so on, now, my question is: what are the input criteria for search terms?

Questions / File tagging and folders structure management
« on: November 21, 2019, 06:36:19 PM »
Helloooooo I ended up trying out this software today as a last resort for my need to tag an album and in future my entire library. Now, I have tried many methods to accomplish my task like: foobar with various tagging plugins (none working lol), picard (too complicated withous reason), and so on. I've also been very suspicious of these other specific softwares like Jthink since they look so shady and obscure while being presented for their extreme ease of use. Well I don't want to get my music library erased by stupid software, no way :)

So, as I was saying I tried the tagging feature of Music Bee in an album and it worked like a charm and exactly as I needed, no fuss or freaky options, just get the job done. Find the release and boom let me move the songs list to match the metadata list. So darn really easy and graphically beautiful. Many congratulations to the developers I think this is hands down the best application for managing a music library. but I still keep foobar since i can use winamp visuals in it.

Now, obviously I have a few questions to make clear, some I will ask in separated posts.

I know what I'm going to ask is impossible, so I'm asking to get advises and to see how you actually manage your library, that said, I would like to know: is there a way to rename the hard drive folders alongside metadata? I don't even know how this is managed in the first place.
You know, I have tagged this album that was a CD number x from a set of discs and the structure will be like C://music/bartok/collector edition/cd1, C://music/bartok/collector edition/cd2, etc. but both the names of songs file and discs folder are fine but not exactly what I would like to be.

obviously other releases are just plain artist/album/song structure.
How can I deal with this kind folder structure and the file names? Because the tagged album doesn't even show as part of a set in the main page, just the title of the album (even if from a multidisc set).

Thanks anyone for the feedabck!
