Still using a Dark-Metro Series skin, the DarkLIME to be exact. I've tagged all my tracks correctly so I'm trying out a genre browser as part of my main window. It's pretty convenient!

Plugins / Re: Corsair LED Plugin
« on: October 05, 2022, 07:54:00 AM »
Hello! I'm having the same problem as Kasuyi! First I thought it's because the plugin is five years old and things obviously change, but Kasuyi had the same thing happen when it was new so perhaps there's a fix? I have the latest MB (downloaded from here, not from Microsoft Store) and I extracted the entirity of the zip file into Plugins. I have the SDK thingy enabled in iCUE and I've restarted both applications. I get the plugin to show up in MB but when clicking Enable I get the error message:

I'll try a PC restart and other common things I can think of, but other than that I'm not too great at finding the cause of problems. I'm better at running in to them! ;)

MusicBee Wishlist / Custom background images per playlist folder
« on: October 01, 2022, 08:51:03 AM »
Hi u guise!  :-*
I wish I could add custom background images per playlist folder now that we can have custom headers and playlist icons. You know, to tie it all together even further? Here's a screenshot of two folder views, where the background fits nicely in one and not so much in the other. What if the custom background image wasn't set globally? Is it possible?

Have a great weekend!

Questions / Re: Custom background images per playlist folder?

I don't think there's a way to do that right now.
You would have to add this to the wishlist.
Oh, okay, thanks for the clarification. At least I wasn't missing something. :)

Questions / Custom background images per playlist folder?
« on: September 29, 2022, 03:32:20 PM »
Yes henlo!
I've been using a custom background image in my main panel through Preferences -> Layout(1) ->  Main panel "use custom background image", and just the other day I noticed we can now have different headers for different playlists (or as in my case, playlist folders). This is awesome and after some experimenting had me wondering, how do I make the custom background image different for each playlist folder? Now that I have custom headers, the background image doesn't always fit that well and I can't find a way to have it change from playlist folder to playlist folder.

Tips and Tricks / Re: How to change MusicBee icon (fastest way)

Also, the icon is amazing. That cute bee is what caught my attention in the first place and now I can't imagine my life without that little fella. :D

MusicBee Wishlist / EQ panel
« on: January 16, 2021, 12:09:36 PM »
Tallyho my friends!
I wish the equalizer pop-up could be added to a panel instead of just being a pop-up. I've seen others talk about this in other parts of the forum but I didn't see it in the latest 10 pages of the wishlist. Perhaps someone has already written a plugin that enables this and I'm just blind as a bat? :D

This is roughly how I'd love to be able to incorporate the EQ:

All the best,

I would love an even more aesthetic, outlandish skin. Think the looks of WINAMP, windows 95, etc. something nostalgic to the early digital age.
Remember... this? :)

Bug Reports / Re: Crash at startup
« on: August 07, 2019, 10:43:50 AM »
I've finally found a workaround that isn't too much of a sacrifice! I've been using the portable version of MB since yesterday and I haven't hade a single crash.

I just copied over the playlist folder and the config file to get the portable version to contain the same things and look the same and now I'm up and running again. I don't really know if there's any downsides to the portable version compared to the "normal" one, none that I can see during my regular use at least.  :)

Bug Reports / Re: Crash at startup
« on: August 06, 2019, 01:25:43 PM »
Oh no. Oh no, no, no...  :o

The problem came back and now it affects all MusicBee versions (I've tried 3.3, 3.2 and 3.1). I'm going to see if I can get more information out of this error.

Edit:

I found this thread regarding the ntdll-error and followed what that user did and after a reboot it is now working again. But I suspect it'll come back since the reboot temporarily "fixed" it before as well.

Edit 2:
Yup, the error is back, crashing at startup. I'm now using foobar2000 as an alternative so I can listen to music but I'm not about to jump ship that fast, I love my MusicBee... Any suggestions? :(

That file seems to have stopped updating? Very weird! The latest entry is from a couple of days ago (around when the problem first started I think):

2019-08-03 17:03:03 - WPD:Exception from HRESULT: 0x80042003

Before this it's something from 2017 (I rarely experience any problems with MB :D).

EDIT:
Since only MusicBee is affected I doubted it'd be about the ntdll file itself, but I decided to give this (found under a "fix ntdll crash error" google hit) a go:

"Winkey + X -> Command Prompt (Admin)

Run these three lines one at a time:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"

...and lo and behold, MusicBee works now! I have no idea what that did, but it seems to have worked. Huh!

Bug Reports / Crash at startup
« on: August 06, 2019, 11:36:00 AM »
Hello! Thanks for the best music player I've ever used (long time user and fan here). I recently got my first ever problem with MusicBee, which is that it crashes during startup. I can see the interface for just about three seconds (unresponsive) and then it closes - no error message. That's also why I can't go into Help -> Support -> View settings file to retrieve that information. I have used Windows own log and it claims ntdll.dll (in System32) is the problem.

My OS:
Windows 10, build 1903

My MusicBee:
Version 3.3.7115, always run as administrator

Things I've tried:
Reboot (fixes it for a while but then the problem comes back)
Installing Update 1 (didn't make a difference)
Ran Windows Update (fixed it until a reboot, then the problem came back)
Re-installed MusicBee (didn't make a difference)

I'll revert to an older version for the time being since this problem only occurs with the new version.
