Minuses:
* The spectrum visualization pane is at best a gimmick in my mind.  Plus it's at times barely visible.
Looks like the color used for the visualizer is a more transparent version of the album cover's average color.  So if the average color is mostly light gray to white, it will be nearly invisible on a light gray background.

Pluses:

* Shows more info
* Can be docked

Minuses:

* The spectrum visualization pane is at best a gimmick in my mind.  Plus it's at times barely visible.
* Plenty of space that I would like to see the playlist and/or lyrics squeezed into.
* On Windows 7 64-bit, it isn't seen as part of MusicBee when docked.  So the stuff in the Windows 7 taskbar preview pane can't be accessed.  (Minor, but still.)

Well, my point was that I might not find out about a new release until weeks after it comes out.

Not what I suggested.  I was talking about something to check for stable releases now.  Generally, I restart MusicBee only after a reboot.  And of course, I want those to be as rare as possible.

Why doesn't MusicBee have a command to check for updates now?  I expected it to either have it has a menu item or a button inside Help/About.  I know it can check for updates on start up and I have it set that way, but when it runs for days or even weeks at a time, that is very rarely triggered.

1. More Auto DJ options:
   a. Prefer higher rated tracks
   b. Require minimum wait time before a specific track can be replayed
   c. Ability to smoothly switch between different playlists based on the time of the year: I keep two auto-playlists.  One lists only music with no comment.  The other lists only music with the comment set to "Christmas".  I would prefer to see Music Bee automatically switch between the two on a given date before Christmas and then switch back after Christmas.  Rather than an all or nothing approach, it would be best if Music Bee switched gradually over several weeks.

2. A button in the main window to switch to the mini-player.

3. Ability to recognize artwork files from other players.  Common formats include Folder.jpg and AlbumName.jpg.  I would include all JPG files in that folder as possibilities.
