MusicBee Wishlist / Re: seperated sort options for each playlist
« on: October 03, 2012, 07:32:40 PM »
ah, thank you.

but, could this then be set to either standard behaviour, or optional standard behaviour? i like to set sorting individually for each playlist that i create (and that is a lot of them,) and i think that would make sense.

best,
9ido.

MusicBee Wishlist / seperated sort options for each playlist
« on: October 03, 2012, 06:56:19 PM »
hello,

here's one i would love to see incorporated in a new version of musicbee: a sort option that gets memorized for each playlist. like in itunes. right now, if i have one playlist that's sorted by album, and another that sorted by #, i have to correct the sorting every single time that i go to a different playlist, because the preference is global to all playlists. i hope this can be fixed, that would be great.

all the best,
9ido.

hello,

i have a request. when i add new files to a playlist in the media library, could these files directly be added to my media library (and processed, if required?)

right now i have to either way add them to the library, then find them, then add them to the playlist; or add them to the playlist and then manually add them to the library and move them to the music folder.

since i do this a lot, it would be great for me if this process was automated.

thank you very much.

all the best,
guido.

Tips and Tricks / Re: Unblock Files / Plugins
« on: June 24, 2012, 12:48:55 PM »
go to properties of the file, select security tab, and change the permission to full access for the current user. then you can unblock it, and it will not change back after that.

cheers,
guido.

Tips and Tricks / Re: Customisable file type Icons
« on: June 24, 2012, 12:18:48 PM »
is there any simply way to get rid of the icons from the icon pack? they don't look so good in the windows explorer 'detail' view, and i always browse music files this way. i did like the single standard one better.

just erasing the 'icons' folder did not do it, not even after a restart as admin, etc.

best,
guido.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: A-Z jumpbar

i've added the showing the a-z bar as a hotkey command and so can also be assigned to a button.
the a-z bar can already be enabled from the panel layout button to the left of the search box

great..
i've got to say, you're really on it.

and for the latter option, oops.. i'm embarrassed to admit i've missed that one.  :-[

MusicBee Wishlist / skipping on the progress bar
« on: June 24, 2012, 09:49:08 AM »
hello,

another small request that would (in my opinion) make musicbee even more elegant,

when i skip a piece of a track with my mouse on the progress bar, ticks are heard (obviously from the sample suddenly going to a very different point.) can you fix this?

all the best,
guido.

MusicBee Wishlist / A-Z jumpbar
« on: June 24, 2012, 09:12:37 AM »
hello,

just a small request. a button (preferably next to the search box) to show the a-z jumpbar (or to have it listed in the command buttons list would also be fine, maybe even better!)

btw, the behaviour that you select 'show a-z jumpbar' in config>layout>main panel and then close it (x) is a bit strange. the config still has the option enabled. i think there should be an easy way to get it back, and i suppose the button i suggested should not appear when 'show a-z jumpbar' is disabled in the config.

also, i think an option to have the a-z jumpbar 'hide in playlists' would be a good thing.

i hope you will think this over. ;)

cheers,
guido.

ps. i discovered a microscopic 'bug'. when the sort-field of a playlist is 'playlist number' the a-z jumpbar functionality does not work, it seems to go to some random place, even if the 'playlist number' order is actually alphabetic. it doesn't seem of any importance at all, not even a real bug, but i thought i mention it anyway. this is in the latests 2.0 beta.

General Discussions / Re: Official MB appreciation thread

yes,

i have to say thank you, too! this is a great piece of software! i have been looking for a great audioplayer for years, and i just didn't know about this one!

i started out a long time ago with winamp, i think version 2 was a great program for what is was. then, when we started to need media libraries, winamp just lost it. i bought an ipod and started to use itunes. my library grew and grew, itunes was getting more useless every day. it's got a great interface, but it's terribly slow for users with large libraries.

and now i have musicbee. and i love it!

thank you, steven. thank you very much!

all the best,
guido.

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Playlist creation

that would be great! even better, the new playlist already named (but with the cursor on it, in edit mode) with the common artist/album tags, if available (the way itunes does it).

in the meantime it would help to have <new playlist> listed either as a seperate options in the menu, or at least at the top of the playlists dropdown list. i think it's the most useful option in the list (after all, you can just drag the files if you want to add them to an existing playlist) and having to drag through dozens of playlists each time (bug: mouse scroll does not work here!) before i reach <new playlist> is, well..  a drag! ;)

cheers,
guido.
