Bug Reports / Files dropped onto "Now playing" keep the old tag values

I have a folder called "music", I put new music files inside of it then edit them accordingly and after I drop them onto the "Now playing" tab/window, the old tags are kept. They don't get updated at all.

I have the option for "continuous scanning" of my library enabled. Yet this behaviour is exhibited and I have to manually activate "scan folders for new files" every time to get the files updated.

Not ideal. If I drop something onto "Now playing", the current tags should be displayed. Scanning options are for adding files to your library.

"Now playing" is immediate.

MusicBee Wishlist / Setting to ungroup number of playcounts displayed on the "History" tab

This is something simple that has plagued me for as long as I've been using Musicbee, +7 years or so.

Probably 10 or so months ago I enquired the internet for a solution to this. All I got was some obscure question on reddit with like 2-3 answers mentioning this Additional Tagging & Reporting Tools plugin that appeared to solve this. The reply of interest contains some long paragraph explaining how to break down playcounts individually instead of all being grouped by default.

Which even then is stated not to be explained anywhere or very clear what you're supposed to do. However, the redditor declares it works for them. I saved the convoluted explanation then looked for the plugin, tried to install it but that thing is just impossible to get to even launch. I get like two different errors citing duplicate tags or something.

That in reality, most of them, if not all are simply the same native tags musicbee offers just that renamed to something else which is what originates this conflict. I wasted time reading the endless, nameless forum thread on this plugin just to still see it not working. I am not the only one facing this frustration.

Beyond frustrated I dropped this matter for the next 9 months. Then recently I tried getting this thing to work again because I really want to see the playcounts not grouped like this. Still unusable to me, then if I ever get it to work, then I must figure out the convoluted instructions provided on reddit.

Plugin's not been updated to correct this. Can this be done natively on Musicbee, please?

Some setting to expand/collapse grouped playcounts and see each timestap for each playcount would deliver some rest. Gain some sanity back.

Also, the settings window within the plugins section, where you can hit "configure", is too large. I find no way to shrink it, therefore, I am unable to see the end of it and save any settings.



If I open some quick settings from the "advanced search and replace section", I check "use musicbee skin colours", I get something that is barely readable

Would it not be much pertinent to match your plugin tags with whatever musicbee dictates? So many headaches. I found posts about this issue like from like 5 years ago or so. You suffer but why?

Just want to initialise the plugin and use it. Partially restore my sanity, please.

By the way, I LOVE MUSICBEE 5EVAR. It's hip to use Musicbee. Nothing better than this for playing your tunes on windongs. Just REALLY wish I could scrobble songs equal to and shorter than 30 secs to last.fm. 30 second songs lives matter.

They came up with this retarded rule to prevent users from scrobbling spotifart/peezer ads but then there are actual losers who spam the website with fake scrobbles because you feel the need to flex your 666 per second scrobbles and your 666.666.666 millions library plays to strangers on the internet. Sigh.

I just want to automatically scrobble my goddamn powerviolence, grindcore and emoviolence in peace. Tired of open scrobbler and such manual scrobblers.

Edit > Edit preferences > Tags (2) > Tag handling > Fields > Configure fields > Look for override labels "Encoder", "Origin" (Adds some inconsequential unwanted path to cuesheets pertaining to CD rips) and "Comment" (if you remove the other two, "comment" tag shows up in place) and nuke them. Remove them values there. > Save > Apply > Save > Salvation > Rest your eyes > Live amongst the shadows > Fall into sleep > Walk through the light

I found this way (Life, uh... finds a way) by giving in to despair and not accepting something that was unacceptable to me. Lemongrab taught me well. Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little... push! This haunted me for years until I said no more. We can't expect god to do all the work.

Playcount values are individual and unique to track/songs. If you played Imperivm by Ictus 666 times, each track from Fall of Efrafa's Elil 666.666 times and each song from His Hero Is Gone's Monuments to Thieves 666.666.666 times: How are you supposed to modify all the playcounts at once? Do you want to increase each playcount to 666.666.666.666.666.666?

But it's not only Massive Attack tracks that aren't submitting to last.fm, it happens with any track that is playing whenever I lose internet connection for whatever reason and when it comes back, the scrobbles never show up on last.fm like they used to. As you can see, there's some April Rain in there too and this has been happening for weeks now, there are more failed scrobbles in the log file.

The tracks that correctly scrobbled say 'OK' and the ones that weren't stored offline and never submitted say 'FAIL: 'en' es un token inesperado. Se esperaba '"' o '''. línea 2, posición 12.' Dunno why the log is in spanish if musicbee is set in english.
But it says something like ''en' is an unexpected token, 'o' was expected. line 2, position 12'. What does this mean?

Hello. I am having issues with the last.fm scrobbler plug-in, it is not saving offline plays to submit later at all.
