I found and subscribed to some podcasts  via the search menu. I can see current listings of episodes, but when I try to download or play any episode, either nothing happens (try to download) or get the error message "the source file for track [track name] could not be found. I can go to the podcast's home page via MusicBee and on the home page the episode plays just fine, so I know it exists somewhere, just not where MB is looking for it. I've had several like this. At least two (most recently found & subscribed to) are of this nature, and can be found on Apple Podcasts.

I switched away from Itunes some time ago (when it was still  called "itunes") to MB for my podcast grabbing, and don't really want to have to consider going back. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this phenomenon?

Questions / Radio Times podcast feed no longer works
« on: March 14, 2022, 03:56:13 AM »
I have been subscribing to WHYY's Radio Times podcast for some time (years). Lately, I noticed that my feed hadn't updated since November 19, 2021, and repeated attempts to update manually yielded nothing. I updated Musicbee to the latest version and went to the podcast subscription area in Musicbee. Searching it in the Itunes store finds the podcast, but shows the link as no longer valid, and the Subscribe button is showed greyed out (though I am already subscribed, so I would think it would show a greyed-out unsubscribe button).

So I go on the web to the Radio Times website, and it provides subscribe links for Apple and Spotify, but nothing generic I could use here. I tried pasting each of those, and Musicbee said it couldn't verify them and wouldn't let me proceed.

Any ideas on how I can re-enable this  (or perhaps other WHYY podcasts that may have similar issues, since if they change one link they might change others)? I have (just now) sent them an email to see if they can help.

Questions / one-key or one-click podcast download?
« on: June 28, 2018, 07:45:31 AM »
I am a new user of MusicBee, and got it mainly for podcasts (trying to phase out iTunes, which has become painfully slow to use). It seems that to download a podcast in MusicBee, I need two steps: right-click, then either click "Download now" or else press "D." (In iTunes, I can download in one click, but it can be slow to respond).

What I'd like to be able to do is scroll through the list of available podcasts in a given feed, and then with one key or one click download it. I looked at hot-key setups, but didn't see "download" as an available command to which I could attach a hotkey. Is there a way?
