This has worked, for the most part, and thank you for your help on it! My problem now is that my playlists are no longer syncing. My phone keeps updating with old versions of my playlists (I gave them all new names to tell if it was syncing correctly) and none of the newly named playlists are coming in after completely resyncing my phone to the new MB version. All the audio files are coming through perfectly.. Any ideas why this might be?

Glad you're almost sorted!
Sometimes, the playlists end up in "Internal Storage" and get missed by the Android Music Player.  :-X

There appears to be some small annoying differences in versions of Android and also with different devices.
I recently changed over from Samsung Galaxy to Honor and had to re-tweak my settings thus:-

Media storage: storage path: [Honor 8\SD Card\]
• Radio Button check "preserve folders and filenames"

Playlist storage: playlist path: [Honor 8\SD Card\Playlists\]
• Save as format: [M3U]
• ☑ use relative paths

Do a PREVIEW before a SYNCHRONISE to see what will / may get changed..

Regards: Freddy

Everything's worked! I'm all synced up and back in the MB game! Thanks a bunch for all of your help.

I haven't changed the locations of ANY music files, playlists, nothing on my phone has changed. I've been away from home for a while now, and wanted to update my phone's sync with MusicBee so I could go back to syncing things to it the way I have in the past.
However when I try, MusicBee tells me "The storage folder 'Samsung-SM-G930V\Card\' no longer exists" although I am 100% certain I didn't move anything on my phone this entire time. I want to go back to syncing things the exact same way I have been in the past without wiping everything and starting over. Is this possible?

Unless you get better advice from other Forum members, allow me to suggest that:-
it would probably best to start over with a Preferences > Devices > Configure, then doing a cable sync as there has been a LOT of changes to the Sync to Android functionality in the past year, including the addition of Wifi syncing.

Questions / "Playlists" tab is now a blank space
« on: September 18, 2018, 06:32:54 PM »
I don't know exactly when this started happening, but recently my Playlists tab has been replaced with a blank screen. I've deleted and remade the tab but it stays the same. I can right click on the left part of the screen where my playlists would be listed, and it gives me options such as "play shuffled" as if playlists were being shown there, but nothing happens when I click them, and the screen itself remains black. All other tabs are working normally, it's just my playlists tab that's suddenly stopped functioning. Updating to the new version of MB has not fixed this.

This is a very late reply, but that did the trick, thanks so much for the help, as always.

Before upgrading to a new PC, I backed up all of my mp3s as well as exporting my old playlists from MusicBee. On my new computer, I was able to successfully restore my library from those backed up mp3s, and I thought, was able to bring my old playlists back from the exported playlists I had saved. However, all the songs within these playlists are dead links. The songs themselves exist within my library and play fine, but when I try to play them through the playlists, MusicBee doesn't know where they are.
I have no idea why this is happening, but it seems to be that MusicBee thinks these re-imported playlists are composed of different files than the re-imported mp3s. Is there any way to restore these playlists without having to start from scratch?

Interestingly enough, the .pla files for my playlists are on my phone, but my phone doesn't seem to know what to do with them and can't open them, and my music players Playlists sections are empty.

Portable Devices / MusicBee can't add playlists to my Android phone
« on: March 24, 2018, 03:20:57 AM »
I've been syncing my Samsung Galaxy through MusicBee, and it was previously able to add my playlists. However, after making some changes to them, it is now unable to add any playlists to my phone. I tried deleting the playlists in my mp3 player app so it could just resync them, but nothing is showing up. The MusicBee app is saying the sync was successful and shows all the selected as playlists as having been copied, but they aren't showing up anywhere on my phone.

Please tell me how I can fix this, I seriously do not want to have to remake my playlists by hand on my phone.

Questions / Re: Trouble using the "manage duplicates" tool
« on: March 08, 2018, 02:41:00 AM »
Wow, I cannot believe I so thoroughly misunderstood how to use that feature. It works perfectly, I was just thinking about it wrong, I'm an idiot.

Thanks for the reply!

Questions / Trouble using the "manage duplicates" tool
« on: March 07, 2018, 09:18:14 PM »
So I've noticed that there are some duplicate songs in my library that I'd like to get rid of, but when using the "manage duplicates" tool, I don't see any option to filter duplicates that have the same artist and track title. I'm seeing every other option under the sun, but not track title. Am I missing something? When using the current filters it seems to select just about every song in my library as a duplicate, because it's scanning for songs that have a 'duplicate' artist, aka all of my songs. How can I narrow it down to artist AND track title?
