I'll give it a try, but I was hoping to avoid that if possible.  It's weird that importing and updating manually works, just not automatic though..

**EDIT** Confirmed as working as a mapped network drive

Questions / Switched to UNC Paths and Folder Monitoring Stopped Working
« on: October 23, 2018, 08:51:04 PM »
Hi all

As per the title really.  I just built a NAS and have moved all of my music over to it.  I added everything to a new library using \\server\share and the scan worked fine.

I setup \\server\share in the folder monitor:

But the folder isn't monitored.  As soon as I press Insert, the new music is instantly available, it just refuses to do it automatically as it used to when the music was on a local hard drive.

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

Plugins / Re: MusicBee Remote (Remote Control for Android)

The way it is designed you can either turn it off completely or have it running while the application is connected. You can close it manually and it won't reappear until either it gets reconnected or there is a track change.
I will keep it in mind as an option for one of the next updates.
It would be great if you could. I run YATSE for my XBMC install, and that does the same.  The notification widget is running only when something is playing or paused.  Then disappears when stopped.

My phone is connected to Wifi all of the time at home, and losing notification space when I am not using MusicBee upsets my OCD :)

Thanks

I was also thinking of adding an option to disable the notification. I will add it to my priority list to get it implemented. I am not sure about the paused part, but the notification should disappear on stopped.

Hi there

This doesn't seem to be working for me.  When MusicBee is loaded, the last playing track appears in my notification bar as soon as I connect my phone to Wireless.  The only way to get rid of it, is to close MusicBee.  I would much prefer only having the notification appear when MusicBee is playing/paused.

Sorry for posting, I couldn't work out from the above if this is something implemented (and therefore not working for me) or planned.

Other than that, it is working perfectly for me.

Cheers

Excellent, thanks.  For me, just clearing it would be perfect :)

Hi there

I just started using this today and it is working really well  :)

However, is it possible for it to clear my mood/status (or set it back to what it was) when the music stops or MusicBee is closed?

I have had a few comments today from people asking me how long the track is :)

Thanks

Questions / Re: Hard Disk detected as MTP Device

Ok - Upgraded to 2.1 Final and the problem was still there.

I applied the 2.2 patch that Steven uploaded and the problem has gone :)

Just testing all my other stuff now to make sure nothing is lost :)

Should I go straight to that version or 2.1 first?  Thanks

No, I don't get any options.

When I turn off "Auto Detect MTP", the drive is in the Computer Section, but doesn't have any options available for it.  Then, when it is turned on, it is removed from the computer section and is only listed as a device...but that doesn't have options either...at least none that I can see :/

Questions / Hard Disk detected as MTP Device
« on: September 20, 2013, 01:35:36 PM »
Hi there

This has happened in the last few days (not sure when), but there has been no updates or software installed.

I have a number of internal hard drives in my PC, which is the media hub for our home.  However, MusicBee has decided to pickup the H drive as an mtp device.

Windows (8 Pro 64), however, still sees it as a normal hard disk.  It is causing problems with playing anything from this drive in MusicBee.  It, basically, gives an error about an incorrect audio file.  However, I can load anything in other media players (vlc, xbmc etc) and everything works without issue.

I have rebooted a few times and can't figure this out.  If I disable "Automatically detect MTP devices", it works normally.

Would anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Steven

Thanks for that.  I did try changing the sync'd playlists...I would get different ones each time, but only 3 of them each time.  I think the playlists are ok, as manually dragging and dropping is absolutely no problem at all.

When you say unsupported, is this likely to be updated in the future?  Or is there a way to add another way to handle iPods?

I have never used iTunes to manage the iPod (I refuse to install it) and so the device software will never be updated...so it probably won't affect me anyway though.

Portable Devices / iPod Classic (120gb fw1.62) - Not syncing all playlists
« on: November 04, 2011, 09:41:56 AM »
Hi all

I have just switched from Mediamonkey to Musicbee and am loving the experience so far.

Last night, I synced around 70gb of music and another 4gb of Audiobooks and everything went brilliantly.  The issue I am having, is that when I tell it to sync the playlists, it seems to do it...but only 3 playlists are ever shown on the device.   When I browse the device through Musicbee, it shows all of the playlists...but when I eject and look on the device, only 3 are ever available.

I have tried rebooting the device, but this didn't have any effect.  I deleted the playlists (leaving the music on the device) and tried a number of times..but it doesn't seem to want to do it.

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks

******UPDATE*******
I just tried to manually drag and drop the playlists, and this worked OK...so it is by no means the end of the world, but would be interested in being able to sync more than 3 playlists automatically...if there is something I am doing wrong, or can adjust.

Thanks
