After updating to MusicBee 3.5.8367, I am unable to edit most tags due to a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" that pops up after attempting to save them. It happened almost every time for the few files I've tested it on, and I was only able to successfully change a tag on the files once or twice during troubleshooting (not the tags I wanted to edit, however).

I've reverted back to 3.5.8296 and do not have this issue.

MusicBee Wishlist / Customize fields in Tag Editor
« on: March 15, 2022, 10:05:33 PM »
It would be great if we could customize the fields that appear on the Tags tab of the Tag Editor. This could save a lot of clicks for those of us who have edit metadata in the [...] splitters or on the Tags (2) tab.

For example, I would add Guest Artist, Performer, and Remixer directly below Artist since I often have to edit those fields, and I would remove Conductor since I've never used it. I'd also add Language and my custom tag for Explicit.

MusicBee Wishlist / Multiple Tag Splitter for "Language"
« on: February 06, 2022, 10:42:56 PM »
I would like to request the Multiple Tag Splitter for the "Language" field. Having a song sung in multiple languages is just as common as a song sung in a single language. While you can split multiple languages with a semicolon and it works fine for filtering purposes, adding languages to songs is cumbersome because MusicBee lists each unique string you've entered into the field as a separate entry.

This field should act like most others and provide me with the "..." so only a single value is suggested when I type.

Bug Reports / Error when jumping to letter on certain "Artists" fields
« on: September 24, 2020, 02:15:51 AM »
MusicBee gives an error whenever I try to use my keyboard or the A-Z jumpbar to skip to navigate the song list.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add one of the following columns to your song list: (a) Artists: Artist, (b) Artists: Guest, or (c) Artists: Performer. The problem does not occur with (d) Artists: Remixer or (e) Artists: Remixer.

2. Click the column header to sort the list.

3. Type a character or use the A-Z jumpbar.

I would like a new option under the "artwork storage" section when syncing my phone to preserve the settings from each individual track, meaning that if I have the album art embedded in the file (for song not part of any album), it will sync those songs with the art embedded. However, if I have the art in the folder instead of embedded (as I do for albums), it will copy just those files over and put their associated art in the folder.

As the syncing is now, you have to either embed everything or put the art in a folder for everything.

This would be helpful because embedding art increases the file size, and my phone is have 4 GB left of its 64 GB capacity.

Ever since upgrading my Nexus 6P phone to the Android O DP2 a couple months ago, syncing my phone continually fails the second time after a successful initial sync. Also, only a single playlist will transfer if I select multiple ones (I think the last one to sync sticks). I have to disconnect/reconnect my phone to resync my phone.

In other words:
* Sync #1, Playlist A B C = Sync success, Playlist C(?) sucess, Playlist A B fail
* Sync #1+X, Playlist A B C = Sync fail, Playlists fail, the following error is given:

This might be an error exclusive to the Android O beta, but I'm reporting it anyway because I haven't seen anyone else do so. I hope this is helpful.
