Hi

May I ask if could added a new feature in the Equalizer ?
Have the option to eq left and right channels  separately ?

so we can rid of apo eq or other vst , it would be really great to adjust the room acoustic

How to install MusicBee Portable using 7-Zip (version 22.01 in this example)
1.  Complete steps 1 and 2 from above.

2.  Right-click MusicBeePortable_3_5.exe and choose the 7-Zip context entry "Extract Files'.  In the window that appears, change the "Extract to" entry to the new folder you made like in step 4 above.  Un-check the other boxes, and leave the "Path mode" at "Full pathnames."  Hit "OK."

3.  In the folder you have now extracted to, delete the subfolder "$PLUGINSDIR."

4.  You are now ready to go, as in step 6 above.
hi sveakul
about 7-zip ,it does not  create a folder called  AppData , check it
if you run MusicBee.exe ,it will create a folder called AppData  in c:\users\...  and it will be not portable
the only way to make it portable is run the MusicBeePortable_3_2_Update3.exe , it will create a folder called AppData in the same folder so portable
thanks

but yesterday i have installed on my friend laptop musicbee portable
and i does create a folder "database" in the folder c:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\   , i'm not sure about the location because i have deleted yesterday but was in the c:\users\.....
That's news to me. And there is no folder called 'database' by musicbee anywhere. All folders are created as sub-folders of the location the portable version is installed
Hi Steven
I have found the guilty , me and z-zip
I did open the zip file and the exe file and decompress , and if you try to decompress the exe (portable version) with 7-zip  it does create any folder like AppData
just uninstalled 7-zip and it does work
sorry for the question , but maybe could be useful for somebody don't use 7-zip to decompress or let it to open the exe
thanks

I have 7-zip installed maybe it's its  fault , because it does open the zip and the exe
this is the list , i have used total commander
ps would be nice have a topic with older version , well why not , for the nostalgic v2 and v3 :-*
at least 3.2.6827 , for w7 without framework updated
thanks

These are manually entered custom tags. However, it is also possible to display the default rating system as Virtual Tags in numeric form.

If you specifically mean the display "/100": This is possible with the Virtual Tag formula: Pref>Tags 1>Define New Tags
Code
Rating: {color: XX,XX,XX}<Custom Tag>/100
Then you can display the defined label as a field in other views as shown in the screenshot in the Artwork Layout.

You can find more about that here:

Questions / Re: where are stored songs settings?
« on: October 02, 2023, 07:56:28 PM »
When you add a music track to your MusicBee library, it will create a record in the MusicBee database. Part of that record will be the information contained in the 'Settings' that you are asking about.
The only way to remove those settings is to delete the track from your MusicBee library.

I really don't know how else to explain it, so I am going to have to leave it at this. Maybe someone else can explain it better.
Hi tjinc
I got it
but try to drag and drop an audio file or more  from an usb stick/pen or from a folder not in the database (create a folder with some file)   in the playlist "now playing " and and change the settings of these settings , rename or delete this file , and the settings are still stored in the database
thanks

Hi gaiastar,

Maybe I do not understand what you are trying to do, but to 'remove an entry from the MusicBee database', you right click on the entry and select 'Delete':

But this has nothing to do with the 'settings'. If this is not what you want you will have to try to explain what you are trying to do, preferably with screenshot(s).
hi
what i mean is...
the settings in my first screenshot
Quote
they are stored in the musicbee database and not the music file itself
so when I deleted some file from an hard disk , the settings are still there in the database
just would like to how to remove these settings from database?
thanks

Try Tools > Advanced > Compress Library
Hi
seems the settings are still there , and compress library doesn't do the job
thanks
