Both of your links are the same.

The minilyrics program will (I believe) install a plugin for MusicBee that will allow it to know what songs are being played and automatically search for the lyrics.

There is also a MB plugin called minilyrics helper that adds functionality within MB.

the great plugin find almost everything but only non sync lyrics ,is it normal ? or is my setup

Apparently MiniLyrics is the only site/application that has synced lyrics. Look in the plugin section of the forum as someone create a MiniLyrics plugin.  That might do what you want as far as synced lyrics is concerned.

Hi gaiastar, by auto-tagging I just meant that section of the Tags(2) prefs, I know you probably don't want to auto-SAVE any lyrics into a file without checking them first.  You can add several more sources to your lyrics options (like Genius) by installing the Lyrics Reloaded plugin from the Add-On section of website.  They will add to, not replace, the existing built-in ones.

Why not try using MB to find lyrics for a "test" file that doesn't contain any embedded lyrics, and then go ahead and embed them through the MusicBee interface and see if your file dates are changed.  That's the way to answer your question for sure.

If you right-click a file(s) you can choose SendTo: Volume Analysis.

I'm unaware that saving an album art image or lyrics as embedded tags would modify your file date even when "don't update file modification time when saving tags" is checked, not using that option myself--you have tried doing it, and is that indeed what happens?

Off-topic I noticed your auto-tagging lyrics sources; I would recommend adding Genius to those which I find grabs the majority of searches I do.  I'm assuming you are using the Lyrics Reloaded plugin maintained by frankz.

honestly i should try to with new files , i will rip a cd soon and let musicbee add cover , lyrics and cd tags years ,name and so on

hi

may i know if I can preserve timestamp of my audio files downloading covers(album arts) lyrics and replaygain ?

I have used for example volume analysis (it should be replaygain i guess ) for some tracks , and it changed my timestamp

I have many smart playlist to organize my library

I have these settings , I can not find the volume analysis (should be the same of foobar replaygain ,but foobar2000 change always the timestamp , there is no option to preserve it

I don't mean to intrude, but what she is saying is that she wants to keep the option to auto-download lyrics and artwork for her normal music files checked, yet not have that also be downloading lyrics/art for radio streams when she is listening to those.  If I'm wrong, gaiastar please correct me.

I like to download artwork and lyrics for my albums ripped from cd into my pc

Unticking those options doesnt stop artwork being downloaded for ripping or auto-tagging. They only apply to pictures downloaded when a track is playing

i like to rip or play my music on my hard disk and let musicbee download artworks and lyrics
but not for streaming internet music , just because musicbee download artworks and lyrics for songs (from streaming radio ) that i will never listen again

+1 as a wishlist item for the ability to exclude streams from the choice to autodownload covers and lyrics as long as it can still be selected when desired.

@gaiastar: you can flush the downloaded lyrics as needed with the batch file from this post: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=29365.msg163645#msg163645 .  For artwork use Tools/Advanced/Reset Artwork Cache.

i have no settings to avoid or disable streaming , at least i can't find them

I like often listen internet radio , like radioparadise o soma radio and others

I use  MusicBee 3.3.7367 on windows 10 and 7

could be added an option to avoid to download covers and lyrics when i listen streaming radios/podcast  and other internet sreaming source?

just because have lots of covers from artist and other stuff that i don't like or i don't have on my computer

would be really a great feature

i have updatede mb to 3.3.7115 but at work it doesn't work because it needs .NET 4.6.1 and at home on a old laptop windows 7 sp1 it doesn't work because it misses .NET 4.6.1


is a good idea upgrade to the last version .NET Framework 4.8 ?

is .NET Framework 4.8 buggy ?

i'm thinking to upgrade to .NET Framework 4.8 because maybe other programs could need it or better update to .NET Framework 4.7.2 ?

for custom bitmap skins, multi-line player panel text is only available if that skin supports it.
For single line player panel text, that can be configured in the Now Playing preferences

I'm not 100% certain I understand what you're asking for, but I -think- you want more than just the title and artist to appear. And you can do it by right-clicking in the panel near where you have the arrow in your screen shot > Panel Layout > enable Show Track Details on Multiple Lines and then > Customize > add the tags you want to appear. Note that you're limited to two lines and you can't control the font size. I can't recall if this was/is available in 3.2, but my suggestion is to patch to the latest 3.3 anyway. For lack of a better term it's a very stable beta and work will begin in the not too distant future on 3.4.

i'm running 3.2.6827 but i have update to MusicBee_Setup_3_3_7077 , i guess it's the last version
don't know if there is a beta

but i would like to add Artist ,down album , down song and file format

i know i can do it ,but i can find the topic about editing the preferences , and in the option there is nothing

may i know if can i do with MusicBee_Setup_3_3_7077 ? i use the portable version and i have downlaoded it from from here

is the right file for the portable version?

if there is a beta that let to use windows 10 notification too , i would like to know how edit the preferences
