Questions / Re: Help with cue listed FLAC files
« on: May 10, 2017, 01:23:25 PM »
I've used Medieval Cue Splitter for a long time. Simple, without many option, but does his job.
Now I use CueTools. More powerful, with many options: repair cues, format conversion, cover management ...
More complex, but allows more control over the process.

Both are free.

Questions / Help with cue listed FLAC files
« on: April 29, 2017, 08:52:56 PM »
I don't know if that actually what they are called but that what I'm gunna call em. you know those FLAC files that contain a 10 track album but its only 1 file.
I've found that music bee is having trouble editing the tags on it and want to know if there is way to expand the single file into individual files for each track.

any help is appreciated

That's available as a hotkey, assigned to Ctrl+P by default.  But you can go into preferences and set it to spacebar, if you want.

title says it all.
that's it, my humble request.
Real convenient feature for when the mrs storms in and shouts "TURN THAT SHIT OFF" and you're desperately scrambling to save yourself from a slow death.

after applying this patch my previously perfectly ordered library seems to have forgotten the alphabet when listing artists and has split artists into  multiple artists even though I have ensured the artist name is the same by copying the same name to multiple files.

Questions / Re: HELP, metadata and tagging related.
« on: April 05, 2017, 09:30:40 PM »
Well, as in that thread, it would be helpful to see what the tag inspector says for one of the problem files.

sorry, I did mean to mention that the tag inspector did represent the updated values, even if the database did not.

however it is resolved now, but thank you anyway.

hey I've  figured it out after multiple beers and a stroke of (no so much) genius.

it was the Skin I was using. The Skin is called "FlatUI" and comes in many colours, all of which are effected by this problem (I tested each one)
its a User created skin if I recall correctly.

Questions / HELP, metadata and tagging related.
« on: April 05, 2017, 02:48:55 PM »
So this has happened to me multiple times now and I'm stumped as to how to fix it.

I just got Jethro Tulls entire discography. (23 albums)  and loaded it into my musicbee database and the thing was a disgraceful mess. no artist/album/year sometimes even the track name was missing.

so I deleted it from my database and went back into file explorer (where the discography is neatly ordered by album sub folders)  and manually entered all the missing tags myself and saved them to the original files then put it all back into musicbee.... where it showed up in its original shitfight form.

I went back to file explorer to confirm the tags were written and saved to the file correctly and they were.
I tried changing the filepath slightly in an attempt to trick music bee into thinking they were entirely different files to no avail.

how do I fix this?  why isn't music bee recognising the updated tags? and how is it remembering the messy old tags?
