Polls / Re: Album/Track Ratings
« on: December 03, 2019, 10:11:11 PM »
I use loves as my primary method of rating music. I listen on musicbee at home and GoneMad on my phone while I'm out.

In musicbee I have 3 Advanced search and replace rules set up that are always on for my whole Library.

1. Auto rate all unrated songs (if rating value = ^$ then enter value 3)
2. Auto love all songs that are rated greater than 3 (if rating < 3 then enter Value L in Love)
3. Auto uprate all loved songs (if Love = L then enter value 3.5 in rating)

I use syncthing to keep my library in sync with my phone and have musicbee set to write ratings to the tag metadata.

If I love a song on it will automatically rate it at 3.5 stars and will sync the rating down to GoneMAD
In GoneMAD I have swipe gestures set up on the now playing screen, swipe up = increase rating, swipe down = decrease rating
If I change the rating of a song in goneMAD, the next syncthing sync will pull those ratings into musicbee and love the tracks on automatically

It's safer to do it this way while driving rather than accessing Panoscrobbler to love a track directly.

I have the same smart playlists set up in GoneMAD that I do in musicbee so ensuring that the ratings and playcounts are sync'd is essential.

I use it because everything I listen with sends my play data to it and Musicbee syncs the playcounts, last played date and ratings down from it so I always have a current, available source for my statistical metadata.

Bug Reports / Re: playcount sync error

Deleting C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Local\Musicbee\Lastfmplaycountcache.dat fixed it mostly but I have 1 track that has an outlandishly high scrobble count. According to my track count for Sevendust's "Shine" is at 31 scrobbles but Musicbee says 116. What is happening here?

I'm going to try uninstalling Musicbee, deleting everything from Program Files, local appdata and roaming appdata, re-setting up my library with a fresh one where everything has a 0 playcount, re-authorize and resync the playcounts and see if it's still wrong.

Edit: It's solved after completely clearing everything and starting fresh. Sorry for jumping the gun on a bug report when I could have done due diligence troubleshooting first.

Bug Reports / playcount sync error
« on: November 25, 2019, 03:26:34 AM »
I just discovered that premium members get to go back and manually edit their scrobbling history and fix tags. Well I spent the last week working through all my scrobbles to get all the playcounts correct everywhere but when I do a playcount sync in musicbee it doesn't pick up the new scrobbles. It only picks up the ones that are scrobbled without editing. Is there any way that this can be fixed? I'd really like my playcounts to be truly accurate and I really hope the last week of work I spent fixing everything hasn't gone to waste.

Plugins / Re: Additional Tagging and Reporting Tools

I'm trying to set up an ASR preset to auto apply at startup and I'm having some issue. What I want it to do is

If Love tag = L AND rating tag = 3
then replace rating value with 3.5

I already have set up presets to auto Love tracks with ratings of 3.5, 4, 4.5 or 5 so I'm trying to make sure the inverse is true. This allows me to build out smart playlists of music I like based on cloud ratings as I tend to just love a song on last fm and use that as the rating.

MusicBee Wishlist / Auto Love songs on Last.FM based on rating

I found an old thread here

I didn't want to bump it because it was last posted to in 2015.

I would really like the option of a user-definable threshold that results in a track being flagged as loved on i.e. if a song is at least 4 stars then it gets loved on

Thank you for your consideration :)
