I need help with an issue that has been bugging me for weeks now.
Any help and/or suggestions is deeply appreciated.

The issue being the Queue no longer works when playing a list of Podcast episodes.
It seemed to start back when I was using v3.3.7115.
I could not figure out what was wrong with that version, so I
upgraded to  v3.3.7165 and pretty much the same issue, no longer recognizing any Queue.

I then advanced to v3.4.8033 P which is what I am currently using and even though in general
it seems to be running smoother, still no Queue available to function normally.
I seem to go through the motions of setting the Queue list, but when the first podcast episode comes to an end, it picks something like the
last 10-30 seconds or it might pick an area of the just played podcast and it plays whatever it picks over and over again and never moves on.
This is the craziest thing I have ever seen Musicbee do when using the portable v for podcast management for a number or years now.

I have been using all portable v of musicbee as it is installed on my P:\ drive, which is a drive stirictly allocated for all my podcasts.

For Music, I am currently using v3.3.7310.31925 portable for handling a large load of music on it's own drive and it has no Queue issues.

My OS is Win10 Home v 21H2 just in case you might need that info.
No screenshot can be provided for this issue as the issue is in the hearing.

Thank You!

I use MusicBee for my Podcast Manager and have always loved it.

My Wish is: If Musicbee is the culprit of my downloading issue, it would be nice to be able to control the mb download per podcast download.
Or could there be a way to use a downloader such as IDM to download my podcasts?  (Just thinking.)

I am having issues with the last two versions of MusicBee. They for some reason are taking more & more Bandwidth to download the podcasts I have listened to daily, for years.
(I am currently using Musicbee V 3.4.7805 P portable.)

Way back, in older versions,  I was able to download 4 podcasts @ a time, then after a year or so, I had to down-grade to 3 podcasts, then later 2 @ a time. and now since the last two updates of Musicbee, I can now only download 1 at a time to still be able to do something else using  the internet.

I have checked if I am getting the bandwidth promised by my ISP and yes it is what I pay for, then checked all background programs to see if something hidden is using the bandwidth and find, no unexpected bandwidth hog.
So I have to conclude something maybe has changed in Musicbee.
I do notice that the downloads that are now being downloaded, seem to be speedier then downloading the same in the past, but that could be for a variety of reasons other than Musicbee.
However, this is not really addressing the issue of why I can only download 1 podcast at a time now.  (All but one of the many downloaded podcast titles I download daily are audio only, so the average is around 30-70 mb. and either mp3's or m4a format.)

Just my thoughts & a wish for my daily use of Musicbee for Podcast management.

Thanks for your wonderful Multimedia Manager and I look forward to using it for many more years.

This is for today.

For other days in the past 3-4 v of MusicBee, there are issues with using MusicBee for Podcast Management.
Several issues in this area.

One main issue started with playing two podcast episodes from different podcast titles at once.
MusicBee would either play the two @ once or lockup and crash and need to be re-started.

Also issues with pausing podcast episode and never being able to return to the correct spot where I stopped it
and this included the podcast setting being marked to remember playback position.

It seems the last 3-4 updates have not addressed the issue of no control of the playing meter.
It will not respond in a way to get back to where the podcast was stopped.
I have to either start the podcast all over or  forget about it.

There are other issues too, see screenshots in reference to many of the issues I am dealing with on a daily basis, all concerning
Podcast downloading & playing. See screenshots for issues.

Thanks so very much!

Hello,

First of all, thanks so much for all your hard work creating and sustaining MusicBee.
Please know that it is, very much appreciated.

I find MusicBee the most stable and yet flexible for managing my many Podcast subscriptions.

Now for my question:

When I have downloaded podcast episodes from my subscriptions, I have been having the problem of the
episodes not always showing up in the Subscription Column of podcasts listings.

So many times I have to go to the Library directory and and find the folder, then the episodes there and play
the podcast from there.
I know this cannot be the way MusicBee is suppose to function.

Why would the Podcast episodes be in the Podcast library, but not show up in the Podcast Subscription column listed
in its folder?

I have tried the following and still not found a resolution for my problem:

1)  I tried to re-scan the library folder for podcasts and it does not seem to recognize any additional or the non listed
     Podcasts.

2)  I have tried moving the non recognized Podcast folder's files to the Inbox and move them to the Subscription
folder from there, but that does not seem to get the job done.

3)  I have also tried to drag them from the library folder into the Subscription folder showing in MusicBee, but
     that too failed.

What can I do to straighten out this issue, once and for all?

Thanks so much in advance, for any suggestions & help!

Questions / I cannot save equalizer custom settings.....
« on: September 06, 2016, 07:45:12 PM »
I have MusicBee on two different Win 10 Machines.

Machine A will not let me save a custom equalizer setting and it will not let me enable MusicBee in Win Explorer and context menus or it will not let me enable file types I want it to recognize.
MusicBee tells me I do not have permission and I need to run it with Administrator Permissions.

OK, no problem, until I try to open Machine A as Administrator.  MusicBee will not open for me as Administrator.
It will only open the normal non Administrator open.

This limits me to not being able to save custom settings and configurations to MusicBee.

As for Machine B:  I am able to save settings easily by opening MusicBee with Administrator privileges.
So I know it is achievable.

Machine A is using V3.0.5995

What causes this issue and can it be fixed, so Machine A can have saved custom settings?

Thank You!

The problem:  Podcast subscriptions and where they are downloading and not showing up in Subscriptions listings....

If I look at a particular Podcast Subscription listing, it only shows 2 podcasts have downloaded.

Now if I go to the drive where the download folder is for that particular Podcast that is listed in my Podcast library, it shows 20+ downloads.

It was not always like this.  I would say maybe the last 3-4 versions is when this got messed up.

I am using V 3.0.5995 on a Win 10 machine.

What causes this issue and how can it be fixed?

(I do have screenshots of what I am trying to get across here, but do not see a way to upload them on here.)

Thank You!
