Bug Reports / Re: MusicBee_Setup_3_0_5895
« on: February 28, 2016, 10:06:56 PM »
Hi phred,

In what panel(s) are you experiencing this?
Main Panel (Library).

See my sig and see if your scroll bar issue is fixed.
Unfortunately, I've removed version 3, and reinstalled 2.5.

You say you're new to MB so how can you really judge the differences between the old and the new versions?  I suggest not using 2.5 for a few days and only use 3.x.  Play around with the panel configuration as that's really the driving force behind v3's existence.  It is so much easier to set up a layout you like.
Sorry for the feeling. I'm pretty sure 3.0 is better in some ways. I'm writing from a newbie's point of view.
I think the default configuration/design is very important, and required more thought about it.
For Example: I didn't like the new "Repeat" button design, and the new location of Rating Stars near the seekbar, where you can easily click on it by mistake, when you playing with the seekbar.
I'm sure there's a lot of new options for the advanced users, but the big question is: how easy it to a newbie to get it what the advnced users already know. Try to give a newbie an advanced configured MB screenshot, and ask him to try to play with MB to get this advance configuration. There is great importance to associative operation, on reading documentations. People not always have time. For example, I didn't see we can drag panels to make them floating and stick them in other place. There are also things much more important IMHO, as described in my last posts.
Eventually, I'm only a visitor. You have the experience. Do the best for all.
Thanks for MB,
Best Regards,

Questions / Is there a way to get the Filters according to Tags Fields?
« on: February 28, 2016, 04:49:27 PM »
GenreFilter above the GenreTag
ArtistFilter above the ArtistTag
AlbumFilter above the AlbumTag
AlbumFilter above the AlbumTag
TimeFilter above the TimeTag
CustomFilter above the CustomTag

The same columns for FIlters and Tags.
When moving the border of the Filter/Tag Column, the Tag/Filter Column moved too.

MusicBee Wishlist / RTL users - Toggle RTL/LTR view Button/Hotkey/RCMenu
« on: February 28, 2016, 04:29:21 PM »
I don't know if it's the time for this, but anyway,
RTL users have LTR and RTL text (Filenames, tags...). They will need a Button/Hotkey/RCMenu to toggle thw view, means to have possibility to toggle the alignment of the text in the program LTR/RTL. You shouldn't change or move the Panels, only to align the text within the panels.

I think LeftRightArrows have truoble with moving the vertical scrollbar.
I can't tell, because I'm new to MusicBee, but I think 2.5 it's better, from my point of view. I didn't like the new changes of design.

Questions / Re: How MusicBee is with Private Tagging?
« on: February 28, 2016, 02:53:44 PM »
1. Are those custom/virtual tags can be searched by Windows Search?
2. How to make Dynamic Playlists (based on filtering the library by tags)? I want to have Presets. For example:
Would be build from:  Genre=Pop; Rating=4 stars; Custom=ABCD

Comparing the Tag of the Now Playing Song: The local Tag (what there is in your computer) with the Online Database.
2 Lines:
One for the local
One for the online.

Colors - For each column/fields: If it is the same, or if there is something different.

So that we can easily see differences between the TagFile you have and the online database, and edit/update what we want, while the song is playing.

Questions / Re: Portable version extraction - default location
« on: February 28, 2016, 01:11:56 AM »
You right, but the user is generally expected to see the extraction in the same folder where is the Setup, to pick it from there.

Btw, I'm encountring problem with the Portable. After playing a little, I moved the MusicBeePortable folder to a new location. Then I got a problem with Library, It asking me to choose a Libraty? Also, I can't direct the old one listed to the new location.

MusicBee Wishlist / Auto Size All Columns - Not as expected
« on: February 28, 2016, 12:20:00 AM »
Should be those two possibilities:
Fit columns to panel
Fit columns to text

Currently, "Auto Size All Columns" and "Keep Columns Size to Panel" work similiar.

My suggestion:
Make "Auto Size All Columns" to work as "Fit columns to text".
Make "Keep Columns Size to Panel" to work as "Fit columns to panel". (You can also make it, so that, in the first choice it would display "Fit columns to panel". From then till the user changing the Columns Size, it will be "Keep Columns Size to Panel")

MusicBee Wishlist / Search Action

Preference > Hotkeys
Make a new field "Search Action" to search actions from the list.

Questions / Portable version extraction - default location
« on: February 27, 2016, 11:41:33 PM »
The default Destination folder should be to the same as the Setup, IMHO.

This bug was also in MPC-HC, it was fixed there.

In RTL OS, the Buttons of Preview Thumbnail are reserved.
