Questions / Re: HOW FRUSTRATING!!!!

i expect you changed the "keep" setting from "Keep all episodes" to  keep "Last X episodes" and under that setting MB would remove podcasts.
The rest of your post is too vague and to make any sense of what the issue with the ordering is - you would need to provide a screenshot along with more explanation of what you did and what you expected.

Ok, so first off I'd like to apologize for the tone and the vagueness of my original post. I've been searching for a good replacement for itunes for some time now, and have been unimpressed with the options. When I tried MB, I was very happy with the functionality/customization and ease-of-use combination. I had imported my itunes library and spent a fair bit of time customizing MB to my liking. Then i went to view my podcasts and they were a mess and I couldn't find any way to organize them. At some point I tried removing tracks in order to re-import them and it turned out they were completely removed from the disk. I thought I was only removing them from MB as there was no warning message of any kind but I guess I was wrong.

Today I started over. This time I only imported the music from my itunes library and went about importing my podcasts separately (File--Scan Folders for New Files). As of now, it seems I have things where I like them, for the most part. I'll list where I was having problems:

-Almost every podcast was divided after the import with many episodes listed under the 'unknown podcast' heading, with a missing 'url' field (see pic).

I have no idea why, as they are all organized in the same folders with identical tags/url's. This where most of the confusing order came in to play, as I later realized that these episodes are displayed/ordered by the file name and not by any tagged data. When downloading podcasts, file names are often inconsistent. Anyway I found it easy enough to transfer them to the correct podcast/heading afterwards, which set them in the right order. Except in a few cases where for some reason 2015 episodes are ordered at the top, and all the other years are listed in reverse order. (see pic)

-Thoughts? also is there a reason why podcasts are locked in the 'track detail' view and the columns can't be selected to change the view of the order. For example, with music selections I can 'click' on 'year' to display by year or 'title' to display alphabetically and so on.
-Is there a way to remove the time portion of the date display? I don't need to know the exact minute it was downloaded, just the date.
-MB creates a .jpeg file in the individual podcast folders, is there some way it can use the Folder.jpg file that's already in there?

Some other questions:

-The compilations in itunes have a blank 'album artist' field. In MB, although the field is still blank, when browsing the 'album artist' in a column, it is displayed as the 'artist' field and not as a blank. So I set it up to write 'Compilations' in the 'aa' field. I like having the compilations at the top of my list, above all the other artists (just below 'all artists' using the album artist thumbnail browser). Is this possible? I set the 'sort album artist' field to "aCompilations" to achieve this, but the heading is still ordered alphabetically under 'c'.

-For some reason several of the thumbnail browser artist thumbnails havn't downloaded. A few are for popular artists so I'm not sure why. Is there anyway to rescan these or do I need to manually set them?

-Last question. I have some compiled some albums with a lot of tracks (50+). Is there some way to display the tracks in 2 columns (as with itunes), so that the list isn't so terribly long?

Once again, I apologize for being such a dick in my original post. Still, you were thoughtful enough to reply so thanks. I really think MB has the potential to be my 'go to' music app. I'm very impressed so far.

Questions / HOW FRUSTRATING!!!!

All my podcasts are in some random order. Many were DELETED from my folders (good thing i have backups)! Absolutely no way to customize podcast views/orders. Too bad, I was so hopeful after loading in my library but obviously the podcast function of music bee is completely useless. I have thousands of podcasts and all were 100% in order of release date in itunes. Now a complete mess after importing my itunes library.
