Polls / Re: POLL: How Long Have You Been Using MusicBee?

I loved zune it had the best sorting etc
but when it died I moved to itunes, it completely de-sorted my library and lost files etc but it was user friendly and I used it to buy music anyways then as soon as I found/used this i stuck to it and an itunes skin + kept buying through itunes, but itunes after one of the updates, resorted all my music again, so I basically had to just redownload my whole library now I only use music bee
Edit as to the below comment
i selected 3-4 years as this is my 4th-5th

I disable the splash, it launches instantly, the splash screen will actually cause a hang for me.

Why isn't Musicbee open sourced?

Questions / Re: Transfer Playlist back into ITUNES - instructions?
« on: November 22, 2016, 01:49:40 AM »
Don't mean to necro a topic, however for people who search this query at a later date.
In the side bar [default left side bar] right click your playlist  - click export playlist, save it as a .m3u where ever you choose, open itunes, then go to the folder where you saved the playlist and simply drag it into itunes.
However I really wouldn't recommend itunes. It appears, this user only wanted to reinstall itunes to add tags to his files, however there's an "auto-tag" feature within musicbee, there's also some plugins for tagging, however I would most recommend mp3tag for editing id3/mp4 or any other audio/video codec's tags, mp3 tag has many more advanced tagging features, it also can tag thousands of files at once without freezing or hanging.
[PS I just reinstalled itunes because I like aac/m4a format audio, but it appears they're now using .m4p which has annoying drm, and many applications don't support the tags, also itunes constantly freezes for no reason, and uses 1.5gb of ram where as music bee rarely freezes and uses 50mb ram, itunes also runs background services(can cause conflicts with some anti cheat software from games etc, also uses more resources) and telemetry services(spy on you) The ui has also decreased in quality, and the album art, icons etc are massive.]

Questions / Musicbee can't read M4P tags?
« on: November 22, 2016, 01:35:49 AM »
It appears Itunes new M4P doesn't use ID3 standards anymore, all details appear in itunes, however in music bee, only the song title, artist and album art was encoded. Does MusicBee not officially support MP4 tags? Any plans to add support?

MusicBee Wishlist / Numbers instead of just sliders

Allow typing in the equalizer db rather than just dragging bars... [It's hard to set an exact amount I skip about 2db with any movement....]
Thanks <3

Questions / Re: Crackling noise in ASIO in MB3
« on: February 18, 2016, 01:05:07 AM »
I don't recognize any other changes... That would cause this, but I see there's a much more detailed topic here:;topicseen his issue seems to be very similar to mine, except only MB3 does it

As to not leave out details, here is my dxdiag
Looking at commonalities between our specs, I'm wondering if it could be related to NVIDIA High Definition Audio, as this issue only occurs on my HDMI and not my headphones

It's probably related to the new buffer settings, it's now a slider, and before it was a check or uncheck, within MB
But no matter what I set the slider to it doesn't improve the situation.
new vs old

Questions / Re: Music Bee 3 .74 1 detected as a virus by windows 10
« on: February 18, 2016, 12:28:25 AM »
I'm unsure, as it quarantined/deletes the entire zip and doesn't really say why...
THe neweer versions and older versions are all good, but that specific version is blocked by Windows
Category: Trojan: WIn32/Spursint.A

Description: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

Questions / Crackling noise in ASIO in MB3
« on: February 13, 2016, 12:05:01 AM »
THe exact same playback settings in MB has no audio corruption
but in MB3 these settings sound good, then grow more gargly and more until all you hear is artifacts, No matter what buffer or sample you set it still happens and setting to 20ms does however delay how long before it start happening, but I can only play like 3 songs before it happens,,, reverted back to 2.5 for now
