When the year is missing  for an album, "Unknown Year" is shown in [Year] [Album Title]  tag below the artwork.

What about using English filenames at least for the languages concerned, but include a new (optional) tag showing the translated text for the language?

Should work, but has a downside: for showing the list MusicBee has to open every file to know how to display the title. +1 from me if it's not too slow.

2- Autofill all main tags in file (Title, Artist, Year, Album) by parsing it's name.

Already there: right click->Auto-Tag by Track->Auto-Tag: Infer and Overwrite Tags from the Filename

With all the due respect, but such an editor doesn't deserve to be used in my opinion...

The editor I used to add the missing space at the end of that line is Notepad++. The editor I work with has a few functionalities a lot better than Notepad++. Apart from that personal opinion, I've been using it for 10 years a lot (for a few years 8+ hours a day every day) and work a lot faster with it than with Notepad++.

(or at least it should allow to disable such an option).

I can disable that option, but not on a per file basis and on a per project basis there are some troubles with the configuration (I've already submitted a bug report on this). Hmm, now that you mention it, there IS a way to do it, by putting the configuration inside the project. Thanks for reminding me of it

None of this matters much IMHO. I posted mainly because it's bad requiring spaces at the end of lines. It's too easy for the spaces to disappear/go missing/... and it's very hard for the programmer/translator to notice that those same spaces are missing.

Edit: I see that Steven added the missing space if it's missing. Thank you very much.

In the latest new.txt file:

! value separator used in the file summary on the bottom right of the main panel eg. 10 files, 11MB, 2:40 - preserve the trailing space

1. Very bad: the editor I use strips trailing spaces on save and I'll have to use another external editor to add the missing space...
2. and more important: it's very difficult veryfying if the space is missing, and easy for it to go astray.

Would it be possible for MusicBee to add the space in after reading this setting from the file?

Oops. Looked at it 10 times and never thought it was a times operator

OK, I'll wait for it. Up to now it's the only non working artefact I saw in the translation.

Small problems with the translation, visible at least while using the latest Portuguese translation:

Missing translations:

In the Tag Inspector the descriptions "ALBUM ARTIST" and "TLEN" are untranslated. Seems like TLEN doesn't even have full length description.


In the preferences panel there are two cases where controls overlap text:

Preferences -> CD Ripping   [Preferências -> Extracção de CD]

At least on this pc the combo box with the available ripping devices extends over the "read offset" [offset de leitura] text label that follows it.

Preferences -> Now Playing -> Notification Popup   [Preferências -> Em Reprodução -> Personalizar]

On the "override popup window size:..." line I see "forçar o tamanho da janela pop-up: 300 x 300 px"

The "p" in the middle px text label is missing.



PS: typo in the english translation: there are several occurrences of "Permenantly".

A versão 2 da tradução do MusicBee para português (Portugal) está feita.

Instruções:

- fazer a transferência do ficheiro Português.lng
- dentro da directoria onde o MusicBee está instalado criar uma sub-directoria com o nome Localisation
- copiar o ficheiro transferido para dentro da directoria criada anteriormente.
- abrir o MusicBee, nas Preferences -> General mudar o idioma para Português, fazer o restart ao MusicBee

Por fazer:
- Alguns textos estão demasiado longos (especialmente no painel das preferências) e precisam de ser encurtados.
- Há uma lista bastante curta de palavras ainda não traduzidas.
- E uma lista ainda mais curta de palavras de que não gosto da tradução corrente.

e... testar: alguns testes feitos, até agora tudo bem...

Todo:
- Many texts are too long (specially in the preferences panel) and need to be shortened.
- There's a very short list of untranslated words.
- And an even shorter list of translated words I'm not satisfied with.

and... test: more tests done - looking good.

i feel like it would be a good idea to be able to quickly mute musicbee...

Doesn't the pause button work for you? I find it better to pause playing, instead of letting the music go on with me not listening to it

That's "Album and Tracks" view. "Artwork" view only shows the album art.

FWIW, the Preferences->Hotkeys settings has an entry for "Play Now". Don't know if you can set enter as an hotkey though, and if enter as hotkey works, and if it doesn't interfere as enter doing other things in other places...

Artwork view doesn't show tracks, so you must mean another view...

But to answer your question:

alt-enter -> "Play Now" the selected tracks.
control-shift-enter ->"Queue Next" the selected tracks.
control-enter ->"Queue Last" the selected tracks.

Right click on a track shows a popup menu with the key accelerators for each action.

Suggestions for main panel botton label :

With Artwork view chosen: the label on the bottom shows "selected 1 album, 25,2 NB, 36:22" -> Please add "NN tracks" after the album.

With the other two views: add the number of different albums selected? Don't know if anyone will find it confusing if not entire albums are selected...
