MusicBee Wishlist / Tag Comments and Sample Rate support
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:35:32 PM »
1. I would like an option for MusicBee to display the comments with in a ID Tag., In the "View Configuration/Playing Track/Displayed Tabs" section there plenty of room for more options.

2. Please add support for resampling to 88.2 khz & 176.4 khz, Also allow a choice between playback of DSD files at 88.2, 176.4 and (352.4 kHz with a 90khz frequency cut off) for PCM conversions.

3. Just a few more  attempts at native DSD playback   :D

Portable Devices / "Monitored Files" on USB Flash Drive is not working
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:18:39 PM »
I've started using the portable  MusicBee (2.5.5491) a few weeks ago. I installed it along with my music collection on a  256GB USB Flash drive and I'm running Windows 7. I've noticed that when I try to configure MusicBee to monitor a folder, it does not detect the external USB drive that it's installed on but only the local drives on the PC. So this means anytime I add music to the Music folder on the USB drive I have to manually make MusicBee rescan that folder to find the new Music.

Questions / Re: Cataloging and playing DSD files
« on: January 31, 2015, 06:47:15 PM »
i am aware of the update but i have spent a lot of time already on trying to get DSD files to play natively (they should work fine output as PCM) so at the moment i am not willing to do anything more

Well I certainly appreciate your efforts. I didn't know MusicBee was supporting DSD until a little while ago.  Perhaps easier implementation methods can be discovered in the future (I hope). As for PCM conversions as someone mentioned does sorta defeat the purpose of DSD. But for the sake of convenience its still nice to have. Perhaps though more sample rate options could be added for those who have the hardware. 176.4khz (SACD) & 352khz (DXD) just to keeps things to highest standard currently available.
Again thanks for adding the support. I will be showing my appreciation with a donation.

Plugins / Re: MusicBee Remote (Remote Control for Android)
« on: March 26, 2014, 09:22:02 PM »
Hey maybe you guess can help me. There is one single album in my MusicBee Library, Bitches Brew by Miles Davis that for some reason whenever I que up the album with MB Remote it arranges the track out of order! I can't figure out why. I've checked and made sure the tags are correct, and tested that it plays properly within MB itself. But its only with the remote that arranges the tracks out of order.  It's just this one album and the out of order track list is consistently the same every time I select it. Any thought?

Questions / Re: Album Covers from Discogs
« on: March 26, 2014, 08:49:44 PM »
And all this time I've been racking my brains to figure out where in MusicBee Preferences Discogs is disabled! Perhaps you should change the language used, "Discogs disabled in Preferences" because it makes me think I need to apply a setting somewhere.
Anyway  I don't mind having to register MusicBee, I  like the ease of use and simple approach but I'm no idiot, I can go online and check a box if necessary.
As for getting better artwork from other sources well I think for each of us "Your mileage may vary", many times I can't find the appropriate artwork and I have no choice but to go manually find and add some, especially since Google's source rarely works the past couple of weeks. So  having as many options as possible is my preferences. If there are users who honestly disagree then perhaps leaving it up to the user preferences by way of an enable/disable option would be better than just removing the whole thing.

Questions / How do I improve Artist Picture Accuracy?
« on: January 26, 2014, 06:18:08 AM »
I've currently had my MusicBee set up with the details at the bottom panel. It shows the album art on the left and rotates through pictures of the artist on the right. This has never been perfect, but I notice with the last couple of updates up to 2.3.5133 many of the songs show the wrong artist, most of them I have no idea who they are. And its not just one or two photos, but some times around 8 or more. I'm not sure if its just one server source for artwork doing this, or MusicBee searches for partial names instead of full names before returning results.
Also can I configure MusicBee to only show the artist photo of the Album Artist, and not Artist and Composer by default?
