Bug Reports / Re: musicbee running in background when closed
« on: June 10, 2018, 11:54:21 AM »
Well that's weird cuz I have no autoplaylists and no itunes.
I tried to delete all settings and simply import all my 1892 files and this behaviour is still present.
I dont really know whats causing this but considering i'm using an i7, 15% cpu for at least 30 sec it's a bit too much for this kind of scenario but if you say it's ok well I'll deal with it.
Thanks anyway Steven

Bug Reports / musicbee running in background when closed
« on: June 10, 2018, 09:50:01 AM »
When I listen to music and i close musicbee, I notice the process wont quit, infact if I open task manager, I see musicbee.exe with 15% cpu occupied, running in background. After few seconds (maybe 30 secs or something like that) the process will terminate. This happens when I use ASIO and with any type of sound format.

Also sometimes I notice that the device is not properly "released" when I close musicbee: for example when I quit  and I run any direct sound based app (ie: a browser or a game) seems like the device is not avaible or disabled (I get no sound); I've to power it off then turn back it on.

musicbee 3.2.6734
replaygain track gain applied

Bug Reports / APE bit depth always blank
« on: June 03, 2018, 04:50:56 PM »
Hello Steven
sorry for disturbing you but as per subj, on APE audio files, the <Bit depth> will always show empty.
I've posted a topic on Q/A with screenshots

Hope you'll fix this. Thanks for your time/patience.

First, thanks for the help.
I dont quite catch... if the file is loseless (ie: monkey audio 24 bit), it will always show blank. Only lossy shows valid value.
This <bit depth> for loseless files will reamin emply and will be no support by the author, isnt it?

Questions / Is it only me or it's a bug? [FIXED]
« on: June 01, 2018, 12:20:04 PM »
I really don't know if it's only me or the latest build, but if I choose <Bit Depth> tag on info track, the return value is always empty - other values (replaygain etc) are all ok

build 3.2.6727

Lets suppose to have multiple playback devices... it will be possible to assign an hotkey on any of the actual playback devices avaible?
Or a dropdown menu to add to the menubar so I've not to open preference and change the device everytime... I think it could be useful.

Questions / Re: ASIO stuttering
« on: May 24, 2018, 06:11:55 PM »
It's more or less my issue. Someone suggest to turn off crossfading... i dont think it will help but you can try. Maybe increase the buffer size...
Also try to play with sound card asio parameters (increase the latency and sample buffers)
Good luck.

Questions / Playback issue
« on: May 24, 2018, 03:24:26 PM »
This issue still bothering me...  let's suppose i've a flac 24/96 file and a capable dac (audio 2.0). With other apps, i pick wasapi and the playback will always match what i play. This will never happened with musicbee.
I also have issue with wasapi playback. For example, sometimes playback never happens until i click on the seekbar.
I tried ASIO and it works until i quit musicbee. Once i go back, i got bass buffer lost error or simply playback error. I've to restart pc (or to power the dac off) to make it work again.
The only way to have no issue, is to use directsound. With other players, I've no problems.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Questions / Re: Cataloging and playing DSD files
« on: May 23, 2018, 06:58:59 AM »
3.2.6715
but that is not the only weird things that happens. For example, with my dac there is no way i can use wasapi until i skip time with the playing seekbar, while on other programs that it wont happen. Then you'll say to use other programs. I'm sorry but to me, musicbee is the best for organizing music, its immense configuration, leaves the other far away...

EDIT: crossfading removed, for the moment seems to work

Ok but the source of that particular sample is not 88k.
You can listen and see with your eyes, sample on the following page (DSD64 played as 88k on latest musicbee, no matter what): https://www.oppodigital.com/hra/dsd-by-davidelias.aspx

Dear Steven, I'm afraid the problem persists: DSF files will be played at 88khz (my dacs display reports 88khz playback rate)
