Portable Devices / Re: Wifi Sync Not Working
« on: August 31, 2023, 04:49:53 PM »
RESOLVED!

I kept tinkering with things and was able to make the wifi sync work. My solution was to go into Webroot and turn off the Realtime Shield, Web Shield, and Firewall. I tried the wifi sync again and it worked. I then turned those settings back on and the wifi sync still works. I also had to delete my playlists and resync them because somehow Poweramp had duplicates that weren't updating with the syncs.

Portable Devices / Wifi Sync Not Working
« on: August 31, 2023, 04:15:38 PM »
I think this issue started with a windows update and/or Webroot update. The Musicbee wifi sync android app does not find Musicbee on the wifi. I didn't change any Musicbee or firewall settings. I can use USB to sync with my phone, but there are some files that are not encoded and copied. Best I can tell is that these files are ones where a new folder needed to be created on my phone. I've tried manually copying those folders and tracks onto my phone. The Poweramp can't find those songs with an error that says the folder is missing or not readable, but I can manually go to the file and play the song from there with Poweramp.

Any suggestions on what I can try to fix this?

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Warning edit too many songs
« on: March 22, 2023, 02:49:36 PM »
To add to the above, I had many songs removed from a playlist because I used Update Play Order while doing a search in a Playlist. Only the songs displayed by the search were re-ordered. All other songs were removed from the playlist.

It would be great to have an alert when you try to add or remove a lot of songs from a playlist. Having some sort of feature to backup playlists would be nice.

Questions / Playlist Update Play Order with Search Removes Songs
« on: March 22, 2023, 02:43:09 PM »
I'm wondering if this is intended behavior or a bug. While looking at a playlist I conducted a search for a song. I then went to my inbox to add some songs to the playlist. Then I returned to the playlist and selected Update Play Order. I didn't notice I hadn't closed the search yet and that navigating away from the playlist didn't close the search. To my horror the playlist play order was updated with only the songs displayed by my search. All of the other songs were removed from the playlist.

I was able to rebuild the playlist from a copy on my phone and I'm learning the importance of backing up your playlists. However, this experience does raise some questions. Is what I experience intended behavior of the search and update play order tools? Is there a way to have a quick undo for playlist file changes? I don't think there is anything for this in Musicbee, but is there some tool in Windows that I could use? What are some tips/tricks I could use to avoid this in the future?

Thanks for the extra direction. I found the other version and downloaded it. The version I not have gives this error message with a new version ID. I believe I'm ready for the patch now.

This happens with every single track. I've tried on at least 20 different tracks with different artists. None of them start with "(".

I started receiving the below error message recently. This occurs when I go to edit track information then click on the three dots for the artist field.
