Beyond MusicBee / Re: What have you been listening to recently?
« on: October 16, 2022, 03:06:24 PM »
Lately I've been rediscovering some of the older stuff I have. Reminiscing the good ol'd days of ALiCE'S EMOTiONS and early Alstroemeria Records stuff. Quite a lot really. All the old anime OPs and EDs too that I collected over time.

Last few albums I listened to this week have been Cowboy Bebop: Blue, Electronica Tunes -FINAL FANTASY Series-, Touhou Jihen's ESCAPE FROM WEST, and many more.

I've recently ventured back into the dedicated DAP scenario, and initially got myself the Walkman A55. The last of the A series to sport the Sony linux ROM. And it's a very decent device. Doubles up as a DAC, and bluetooth receiver so my car, which doesn't have an interchangeable radio, nor does it have Bluetooth, is provided the later thanks to this feature on the A55.

And then Mr Walkmans firmware on the device makes it better too, with tweaked sound signatures. Bluetooth is okay, but try to use it with anything like the Sony Linkbuds, and the connection is poor. Battery life is pretty damn good on them.

A100 series however. Whilst they sport Android, and the ability to search your library in the Sony music app, it loses Bluetooth receiver, DAC, playlist mangement, and SensMe channels features among also having poor battery life thanks to Android.

Though, a new A series walkman is on the horizon.

I get my music from various places. Down to personal preferences but since I love Touhou Project and it's associated arrange circles, I get a lot of my stuff from booth.pm , both physical releases, and digital. Bandcamp is also a good source of music. And then I also use Mora.jp as well. I did use eruce for a very short term because I am not entirely sure how legit it is. Most of what they sell appears to be CD quality rips.

Hmm, you fooled me, but I am sure that I did do this. You'll have to wait until I get home as my current device is linux based. I'll update then.

I read through the posts, and then checked the website

>The audiophile player for music fanatics

Got a laugh out of me

And of course they're paying to use it, so of course it's going to be the audiophile tool (when actually it appears to be lacking)

If you look at your screen shot, where it says CD 1, to the far right, there's a triangle pointing downwards. Pretty sure if you click on that it should collapse that disk.

Isn't this functionality already in MB? If you click the far right of each CD heading, it will collapse that entry.
