Bug Reports / Re: Getting an Error When Opening a Few of My Playlists

It may say 3.0 on some of the start up splash screens.

What does it say when you navigate to Help > About?

I have no experience with Theater Modes, but this works in Track Details. With the caveat that sometimes the formatting is a bit strange:

$IsNull(<Genre>,,$If($IsMatch(<Genre>,"J-Pop|C-Pop|T-Pop|P-Pop|V-Pop|Kawaii Metal"),{color: 255,215,0}$Replace(<Genres>,;, /),)$If($IsMatch(<Genre>,"Hardcore Punk|Melodic Hardcore|Crust Punk|Pop Punk|Skate Punk|Noise Rock|Noisecore|Grindcore|Alternative Metal|Punk Rock|Japanese Hardcore|Ska Punk|D-Beat|Groove Metal|Post-Hardcore|Indie Rock"),{color: 255,0,0}$Replace(<Genres>,;, /),)$If($IsMatch(<Genre>,"Art Pop|Art Rock|Synthpop|Electronic|Ambient|Experimental|2 Tone"),{color: 147,112,219}$Replace(<Genres>,;, /),)$If($IsMatch(<Genre>,"Blues|Jazz"),{color: 30,144,255}$Replace(<Genres>,;, /),))

Questions / Re: Musicbee on my fanless win8 machine

Not that this helps at all, but MusicBee 3.5 & 3.6 portable work perfectly well on my Win 8.1 machine. Can't tell you which version of .net it's running as I'm not currently at my machine at home.

Are you sure the recently added files are definitely added to your library?

And not just being viewed through the computer node?

If you check the link provided it shows the virtual tags the person uses, as Boom Boom stated just use those in place of the original tags that you need translation for.

I use them in the Tracks view in place of Title and Artist.

You can ignore the fact that he's stating it doesn't work, as it does.

I'd also argue for more than 3 highlight slots.

Aren't there already more than three highlight slots, at least as far as I'm aware you can click the plus after the third row and a blank fourth row shows up.

Awesome post.

Don't use this view myself, but the explanation makes it very clear.

Have a look at how this guy does his tags, I do something very similar but in a different view:

Just point out and I'm sure you know, but you can use right-click > search > Locate in Windows Explorer before/after you edit the file(s). I'm not sure what purpose it would serve to do it while editing.

General Discussions / Re: Random Play Entire Collection???

Not to make things even more confusing, but you can also create an auto-playlist of your preferred genre or if you wish all music with a rule of "playcount is 0".

You can then right-click on the playlist and select "Play Shuffled" when a track is played it's then removed from the playlist.

This is only for those who have no interest in play counts.

I'd have sworn blind I'd ticked it. You even explain about the semi-colons in that second post.

No, I'm not using Picard for my genres, I'm using RYM and inputting manually. I haven't got around to that release yet is all.

Just realised, I hadn't ticked the split mutli-tagged box. My fault.

Here, take a look. I will be adding genres to this as just Hardcore isn't correct but it shows the semi-colons. Not that it should make any difference but I didn't use a virtual tag, just pasted your code a track information field.

Hi Hiccup,

Regarding your update in post 2 for the virtual tag to display the genres, I've had bash at using it but it seems if there's only a single genre then a bunch of semi-colons are displayed. I'm assuming this isn't by design?
